Well going by the list Mystic Penguin made..a lot more than some of those lads, Wilsheres been hurt more than Stevie and hes just a young lad, Lampard is/was never as good, Banega can spray the ball around..daft * also just ruled himself out for the rest of the season by running over his own foot, Van der Vaart is extremely hit or miss, Thiago has the potential sure but he just started playing first team football, Moutinho, Inler and Asamoah shouldnt even be mentioned in the same breath.

 

Gomez scored 4 yesterday he's the best player in the world. Gerrard is second best though.

Lets see if he keeps it up.

 

Were you trying to make a point with that comment? I think Gomez is one of the most underrated players in the world, only Messi and Ronaldo are scoring more the past two seasons.

Inler and moutinho have been good this season so yeah its wrong to mention gerrard with them and anyone on watches the epl will agree van der vaart has done alot more than gerrard since he's moved to england.

 

They should be mentioned they are all underrated and Gerrard is overrated.

 

Why do you say Inler has been good? Because Napoli are doing well in the CL, Im a Napoli fan and have watched every match this season and he hasnt quite lived up to the hype for me, would take Gargano over him honestly.

Just look at Liverpool with Gerrard and then look at them without him.

Well there obviously alot better, I mean you have to give Stevie credit for not leaving the club with the * theyve been through the past couple seasons.

 

In his prime (5-10? years ago) one of the best midfielders in the world. Just now? In the top 20/30, as Mystic Penguin stated, all of those players are better than Gerrard atm. If liverpool never had him in their team for the last 10 years, they would have drifted away to being another average mid-table premiership team.

 

Im a Napoli fan as well what has inler done wrong this season? he doesn't get alot of goals but he isn't there to score goals. He's solid in the middle and does all the dirty work, controls the game for Napoli along with gargano tbh there isn't much between them.

 

Yeah staying with one club for so long is respectable. I just think he's past his best.

I forgot about Keita as well. He's been solid for the past few seasons.

I just think Inler needs to control the game more, Hamsik is having to drift deeper and deeper, Gargano is there to do the dirty work.

I always look at it like this, if Gerrard was swapped with Inler who would you think would be the better midfielder?

I would say nearer 10th now. I would say he was arguably the best from around 2004-2009 along with Pirlo but since then Xavi and Iniesta have taken over.
