The standing leg your talking about does just fine and comes away from the tackle,if you look at the clip its stokes himself that stops his leg moving after the tackle when he think....(ok i can now fall over i might get a pen)
If that sort of contact gets a foul then there is 15 to 20 fouls everytime there is a corner or free kick.
Grasping at straws to blame a ref for us getting beat by the better team i think.

at first i thought so too but watching again stokesy had made the keeper commit... difficult to call... Stokes own reaction makes me think he was clipped but very difficult for ref

not happy to lose the way we did but take small consolation that killie are a team that try to play football and hope their players enjoy their win. Cammy Bell was class and we looked nervy at the back at times, it all looked so promising at the start..

Shame about the treble ... guess our players will need to repay the fans with a good win next week.

 

Its not the first time he has been booked for diving and he is too good a player to be tagged as a stan petrov .

When you compair the level we can play at and the level we did play at and the level they normally play at and the level thay did play at then yes.
they worked hard and never gave up...we plodded along like the cup belonged to us.

Btw lads just cause we werent up to our usual standards does not mean we deserved to lose. If you take a step back, we probably were still the better of the two teams.

Stokes does that move where he goes round the keeper and sticks it in the net time and time again... He could still easily get to the ball and slide into an empty net so why the * would he go down if he wasn't caught.
I'm not even sure why i'm entertaining the idea he wasn't caught because he quite clearly was.

 

There seems to be some kind of thinking that if we, or even the huns when they were better, dont absolutely batter teams, then the other team deserves to win. Total * nonsense of course and the fact that their keeper was MOM should be enough to tell what really happened. Granted we were not at our best, but we were quite clearly the better team. We were poor in front of goal on a couple of occassions (Hooper and Stokes) but all in all we deserved to win.


As for those calling Stokes a cheat (not you CT, I know) then I would guess they have never played the game at all. I would challenge them to run, then try to control a ball, past me and I'll clip them and see how many of them stay on their feet. The guys balance was clearly affected and to hear our own fans call him a cheat is nothing short of shameful imo.

Agree mate.i felt killie deserved it as we were poor but having seen the highlights of the chances we created compared to killie, we should have won easy.if hooper buries that early chance it's all over

I can't believe Hooper missed that chance, gets worse and worse each time you see it. It was such an easy chance, 9 times out of 10 he sticks it away. If he did score it would have been game over

 

That shouldn't matter. Yes we were poor by our standards, and they were good by theirs. But we still played better than they did on the day, therefore deserved to win.

 

1. The ref got it wrong, a player being booked for diving does not make him a diver.
2. Are you saying Petrov wasn't a good player?
