Our future is secure as long as we pay our bills and dont go crazy...

At this moment in time if it was us that was faced with a 75 million pound bill then a honestly think we could pay it no problem :50:

This club has major assets just now in terms of the calibre of player we have at our disposal, a would say our squads worth more than 75 million:50: am serious.

And we actualy have 2 REAL BILLIONAIRE owners at our disposal who WOULD STEP in if we were in real trouble:50:

The last 2 days have been nothing short of orgasmic and am loving every minute of it , great to be a hoops man these last few days

I think it's boring to watch Rangers go through the league in high places because referees help them. Take out Rangers, and everything would come down to football. And lack of huge financial funds doesn't stop teams from producing good players.

I was thinking long term like 5 - 10 years.

I think some teams may get stronger but not as strong as you seem to think.

In the scenario you have described how many titles would you expect another team outside the old firm to win in the next 5 years? 10 years? 15?

I would predict none. Would be a * league. the only way rangers dying could be good for us, is if it somehow enables us to gain entry into the EPL.

Even then I would rather we were both in. I enjoy the intense rivalry even thought their a manky bunch.

I think, within the next 5 years, we'd lose some cups definitely. Maybe 1 title. Later, it would get even more dangerous. And I personally don't care much about the Rangers games. If they disappeared...good riddance. Games against other teams can bring more shocks.

But it will stop them from keeping those players.

I wonder what would happen if we won the next 20 spls in a row.

would you still find it an exciting league to watch?

They would keep a lot of those good players, as Rangers wouldn't be there to buy them.

Winning 20 in a row? I wish. I'd still watch it, if it happened. For Celtic.

ahhh for now well just have to agree to disagree.

can see where your coming from, but i would miss those Old Firm games and closely contested titles. Wouldnt mind a period of domination for the next 5 - 10 years while the huns sort themselves out

Do you know what games brought me the most thrills? The one where we won 3-2, vs Hearts, I think. McManus scored 2 goals. And the comeback against Kilmarnock, from 3-0 to 3-3. I haven't been present during the 2-1 victory against Rangers. So, close contests and drama...any team can cause it.

Im not so confident tbh, if rangers went bust the league would probably lose it tv deals due to no more OF derbies, a 2million loss wouldn't affect us much but the rest of the clubs need the money from sky alot more, the league would probably deteriorate even more as a result and eventually the lack of competition to push us would likely hinder us.

Maybe the SPL could create its own channel? People will still want to watch their clubs, especially as they fight for more silverware chances.

they dont need another owner/buyer. according to bbc scotland news last night whyte loaned rangers 24 million and it was mortgaged against the stadium and murray pasrk so they go into administration then he calls in his debt which they cant pay so he takes his assets ie the staium and urray park and owns the debt free club and this according to them was his game from the start

I'm sure that would take liquidation? which would mean a new team in the 3rd division, anyone?

no mate not liqudation he is the number one creditor and is first in line to be paid and as rangers cant pay it he takes the assets his money is leveraged against this was explained by the bbc guy thats why he did the deal in the first place he knew HIS money at least was safe and he can either stay on as owner or sell same thing happened at portsmouth before the were relegated

this is what i hope happens .if they go bust , trust me we will miss having them to wind up , and i personally look forward to nothing more than old firm day . we can create a huge gulf in class between ourselves and them for the next ten years . it will be like the 90s was for them ( but we will be doing it legitimately ) .

My hatred for them outweighs any rational thoughts about the SPL and the future. I want to see them and their history expunged from all record books.

If it means we have to cut back a little and develop more youngsters and sell to balance the books then fine. I can live with that. The game wont die here, that is just silly. It may not be as marketable without that shower of *, but long term we will be better for it. No bile, no poison, no scum.

Having them gone will feel like having a long cleansing shower after a month in the desert.

Why are folk on here saying that we'll walk the league and win it by 40 points and all this pish..........

Alright were on a great run but seriously do ye really think the likes of ICT and Hibs and the like are gonna go awww * Rangers are * now we'll just take the foot off the gas and stop giving Celtic a hard time............

I'm sorry but if thats what ye think then yer a * * the SPL won't just crumble cos they fuckwits aren't a force and by the way going into administration is probably the best news Craig Shyte has got since he took over them cos he can write off a lot of they debts sell off a couple of players and start fae scratch which is prolly what he had planned all along.....

So give yerselves a * shake Rangers won't die they'll just be dormant a few years and this league will still have its shock results for us.............
