Thought this was worth carrying over to a thread of it's own, so we can conduct a poll.

I think even Sammy's critics will agree, his form has been pleasing of late.

But boy, do we love Stokes and Hooper together, and you almost always know he's going to get a goal...

    So, who do you play?

I don't think the other guys, like Hooper and Forrest, figure much in terms of this selection up-front, as NL seems to have more confidence in both of those players.

The best striker at the club, Stokes.

    On the left wing? Samaras.

It is a squad game football, I have no idea why we as fans feel the need to pidgeon hole a guaranteed starting 11 and that's it.

Stokes will play his part as he already has.

Samaras. Has more to his game. When he's up for it, which at the moment he clearly is, he changes games. He makes a massive impact on how the game flows. His running is legendary. He just starts throwing those big legs out and he can fair control the ball as he does it.

If his form drops, all fair in football, he's out and Stokes or someone else will be in. Our current form and winning run suggests Lenny has been spot on in his selections.

Stokes, away from home, I'd play Samaras left mid.

    Samaras for me.

We have been playing a lot of the long ball lately and Samaras is usually the only one that's able to get up in the air and do something with them because he has the extra height.

While stokes scored two goals against Falkirk I thought he was poor all round in his game.

Samaras has been unplayable at times lately so I wouldn't drop him.

Needless to say, I went with Stokes. I value his partnership with Hooper very highly.

We only see the players for 90mins each week and although we all have our favourites that we want to see starting we're never gonna be in total agreement.

The management team sees the players day in day out for hours at a time in training and can assess thier form, fitness, attitude and general play a lot better than we can. For me personally I likew to see us play a 5 across the middle away from home and think Sammy has been doing a cracking job for us out on the wing.

At home though nothing beats the good old 4-4-2 and on the limited time we get to see the players it's hard to argue that in a strike partnership of 2 up front that there is anyone better than Hooper and Stokes for that role.

It just depends on the opponent, conditions and form.

That's the reason we have more than two strikers in the squad. Samaras might be more suited to wet and windy conditions, against a team that are hard to break down. Stokes and Hooper would be the preferred partnership because they have an amazing understanding. Sometimes we'll go one up front and not to mention, we've still to see more of Brozek.

In short, none of the poll choices.

Since you appear to be talking about playing up front, Stokesy. Prefer Samaras wide left by a mile :50:

It really does depend who we are playing. Lenny has rotated them very effectively so far and hopefully continues to do so

Selection is down to the manager and every game requires different selections. At home matches all 3 normally play because we play against all out defence; out of all the strikers Gary Hooper is the one who`s undropable if that is point.

Stokes for the reason that Celtic should be playing with 2 out and out Centre Forwards every week in the SPL ,but there are games ie last night , That Sammi should have got the nod before Stokes because I seen Hearts against St Johnstone and Hearts were brutal covering the wings .

So rotation of players for me due to different circumstances against other teams ,I like what Lennon is doing with both of them playing there part in every game .
