You could just see what that meant to him when he scored, Sammy loves this fantastic club and probably alot more than what people think.

I say it alot i know; but he will end his career here and i really believe he will be the next player to actually get a testimonial for us. Guy is the most annoying legend to grace the hoops of Glasgow Celtic. May his form continue against the big guns!(hopefully!) :56:

I'd also like to give Neil Lennon some credit for Sammy's rebirth. Neily has managed to get a level of consistency out of Samaras that neither Gordon Strachan or Tony Mowbray could manage.

If anyone has any doubts about Neil Lennon's man management skills then they need only look at how he has handled Samaras. He's done a great job making Sammy feel important and rebuilding his confidence, which must have been shot to bits at one stage.

    Yeah

I think when Mogga was here Sammy wasnt held in very low regard by many

When Neilly took over he immediataly gave Sammy his stamp of approval and picked him every week along with broony

    Sammy hasnt looked back

Modern day would have to be Henrik...
His ability to hold the ball regardless of how many try to take it off him is astonishing - every time he sets off on a run I just love to see them tackle him and big Sammy just waltzes through with the ball stuck to his feet. His cross last night was excellent, goal well taken. Definitely one of my favourites.

Played great last night. As previously mentioned, he should have squared it to Commons, but considering he got a goal and an assist last night, you can't hold that against him.

Commons sense :)52:) says he should have squared the ball.

But as others have said, already had a goal and an assist to his name and he carved the chance himself. Wouldn't say he was selfish going for the shot. In hindsight yeh he should have squared it, but if its goes in this Sammy Bukaki party would have been a lot bigger.

Fantastic overall performance from the big man, I used to sit in Jock Stein Lower a few seasons back and the abuse he used to get from out fans was awful, glad to see he has turned it around and is doing his talking on the pitch.

Also agree with an earlier poster who mentioned he is fast becoming the first name on the team sheet.

    Keep it up! :50:

apart from that * he had when clean through, sammy was terrific. a goal and an assist and a brilliant celebration! he frustrates as much as he delights but you can't deny that he loves it here, always great to see a foreign player grow to love celtic! :50:

saw this on twitter last night, think it belongs in this thread for posterity's sake! :56:

22/8/12- Mystic Bhoy says that Sammy wil be Scottish Player of Year!!! Hold me to that prediction!!! You can easily see he is the best footballer in the team!!! He just gets a bit to 'lackadasical' , but that is a tyical Bhoys trait!

I know who I'm getting on the back of my Celtic shirt after last nights performance.

I have so much man love for this man. I love the fact he has turned EVERY Celtic fan around and he is now one of our best players. We cannot do without him.

It seems like he has been around for ages, but he is only 27, one of our most experienced players and he is just coming into his prime.

lets not go mental ,yes he played well last night id probably have given him MOTM last night had he squared that ball ,but that was a massive error. also lets not forget how pish he was at the weekend.
he has started to put in some decent performances ,and its about * time but to suggest he has won everyone over and we cant do without him is just crazy talk

If he hasn't turned everyone round by now, I'm not sure what he has to do.

I really don't think we can do without him in the big games, he always turns up. Although you are right. He was terrible at the weekend playing out of position.

He'd score more goals if hed not restric himself to just shooting with the inside of the foot.

Agree with this. I think he tries to be a bit too intricate and precise with his finishing. He'd maybe be better just leathering it :icon_mrgreen:

Isn't it funny how quickly he has gone from laughing stock to our most dangerous European player? We all knew had the potential and it just seems like sticking him on the wing has awakened that talent in him. Absolutely love the big man now and feel so much more confident of our ability to score with him and Kris in the team. Okay, he's still prone to the odd bit of the unthinkable (not squaring it last night) but he gives us an outlet we don't have and will run with the ball all day long when we're under pressure.

In short: we love you, Sammy.
