@ Devlin, every time he gets the ball inside the box, he's a real danger and that's why i'd have him up there. The goals and assists are too few and far between and with the injuries we have, he'll sit in wide midfield for the rest of the season.

He's supposed to play center mid, but he doesn't really play there. He's sits wide and shuts off wingers and attacking players, not running the show from the middle of the park

He has played more for Celtic at centre mid than any other position, it his best position and at his best he makes us tick by picking up the scraps and being tidy in possession.

He is also a big game player who produces at every level.

He's played more at centre mid than any other player under Neil Lennon.

I think Ledley is an outstanding player.

His workrate and vision are first class. His ability to get into the box and try to get on the end of things is impressive.

If Wanyama goes then its vital we keep ledley until the end of the European qualifiers. No point in selling him for profit if that means we end up losing a bigger profit in the group stages!

I have never watched Joe Ledley and seen him run a game from center of midfield, he's a tidy player who keeps possession, plays the percentages and helps the flow of the game.

This doesn't bring much excitement to the game though. When he gets in and around the box, that's a different story altogether.

Wanyama will go. Ledley might sign a new contract, if he does brilliant. But if a guy is 26 and brought up on Premiership football, he's gonna want a crack at it, is he not?

If we bring these guys in and they stay for 3 seasons, we've done well. If a team comes in and offers decent money, with one year on his contract, he goes.

It's that simple. If he wants to stay and signs a new deal, that's different, but we simply cannot let players run down their contracts.

It might be, that we can get a better player in with the money we'd get for Ledley.

This is what we have to do, get these guys to a level where we can cash in. That's why Ledley was signed, to make money. We make money and we can take the team up a level.

He does both of these in the same games though, he is by far the cleverest footballer at Celtic, positionally. The amount of covering, possesion play and dangerous runs into the box he does in any game is ridiculous. He's like 3 players in one. Very versatile as well, he does a good reliable job wherever he is asked to play.

Joe is the best player at the club imo. It will be a huge mistake if we let him go.

Couldn't agree more. He reminds of Paul Lambert, in the sense that even if he doesn't have a great game, the player he is up against won't have had one either. I think he is superb, first player on the teamsheet for me. What I have noticed, people who don't appreciate Ledley, are normally people who don't go to many games. For the simple fact, a lot of his work is done off the ball. Something that people watching on the tele don't see.

I can't believe Celtic haven't offered him a new contract yet. If they don't get the finger out we will lose Joe Ledley.

I agree & i also think his personal attitude /demeanour is a refreshing
    change for these days.
Some people will only notice how good he is/was when he's gone.:54:
