its not sticking up for a racist though, its saying he's not a racist. i find it hard to believe he is given what we've found out in that statement regarding his grandfather.

I am surprised that the case has been based on Evra and Evra's testimony alone. Evra has a history of being a * as has Suarez, not made my mind up on this one.

Personally I believe Evra is at it.

So do I, how you can possibly punish someone so harshly based on one testimony alone is beyond me, especially considering Evra's reputation. I'm surprised they even had enough evidence to find him guilty tbh.

Will be interesting to see if the FA impose such a punishment to Terry if he is found guilty.

a bit much? rascist behaviour cannot be accepted at all at football he should be banned for the season as for the fine wow a 3rd of his weekly wages

really angers me how people are stcking upforhim hes been found guilty by an independent commision investigating the matter and the evidence wll be released in due course but people see the need to stik up for him due to some alliegence to liverpool or whatever

I think you'll find on appeal this will go to a nothing charge, basing it on nothing but what Patrice Evra said is a dangerous route to go down. However the John Terry situation is different, the police are involved. The FA will judge him off of the results of that.

This is nothing to with Di Canio and what Suarez did was not political in the slightest, you were just looking to have a cheap dig.

[UK] Kick It Out statement regarding Luis Suarez
    Tuesday 20 Dec 2011
Kick It Out has released the following statement after Liverpool’s Luis Suarez was handed an eight-match ban and fined £40,000 for racially abusing Manchester United defender Patrice Evra:

Lord Herman Ouseley, Chair of Kick It Out, said: “The FA has shown leadership and intent through what has clearly been a difficult and complex complaint to deal with, and invested time and expertise to ensure this outcome.

"It has demonstrated that it will not stand for discrimination, something organisations such as FIFA and UEFA should take heed of.

“Kick It Out will continue to work with clubs and players, at professional and grass roots level, offering education on what is deemed offensive and unacceptable behaviour."

Just to clear this up Evra has never accused anyone of racism before the current case was instigated.

Anyone who says otherwise is wrong.

Evra was clearly wound up over something he said.
Suarez admitted a while back calling him a name which he didnt think was offensive, evra did.
After searching the web about what he said the word 'negrito' seems to be the one popping up the most, which means "little black man", gus poyet when defending suarez said negrito in uruguay isnt seen as an offensive term however it is used as a nickname for people with darker skin.

Only Suarez and Evra know what really happened.

Its stupid to slate someone without knowing what actually happened for sure.
