He made it clear that he was condemning the tiny minority of idiots, not the celtic support at large.

And as I have said before, it you are going to self indulge in writing banners solely for attention seeking purposes, you should not be too upset when people have a gentle dig for not being able to spell properly. Hardly reflects well on "the cause" when you cannot get the basics right.

Lennon and Lawwell are 100% correct in their condemnation.

Have you any proof it was the Green Brigade? It's hardly a tiny minority either.

The whole "we dont care what the animals say" thing loses value when it is us getting fined, singing about * everyone and everything, getting in trouble from authorities, attacking stewards, and generally acting like children. If it was rangers doing the same thing people on here would be the first to call them animals.

Only difference is that rangers have become defined by their idiots while celtic have never had that issue until recently

Spot on :celt_2: Maybe it's time for the club to get more creative in creating a party atmosphere at all home games :50: For a start I'm sure a few gorgeous cheerleaders etc would go down well at half time (just having a wee laugh :86: ) Maybe if the club adopted a wee bit more responsibility for helping to create a positive atmosphere all Celtic fans would be included and there would be no need for separatism and we would all sing with one voice :50:

Lennon said it was a tiny minority (but I agree it wasnt tiny) and the dig was aimed at stupid people who fly contenious banners - dunno if it was the green brigade this time or not. Neither here nor there to me.

Exactly. Thank * there is someone else. Lennon's words were that a tiny minority of supporters had let the club and the other 99.9% of supporters down with their antics on Thursday night.

The Green Brigade make up more than 0.01% of the support. Therefore, I don't see it as being a dig at them. Just the few morons who shamed the club with the banner.

We are trying to stop the Huns winning 4 in a row. The last we need is a split in the support. I did think it was a wee bit disrespectful of Lenny to have a childish dig though. Hope all this can be put behind us quickly as the Hun media will loving all this.

I'm still allowed to say Hun aren't I? I haven't been keeping up with all the Bill stuff etc lol

I wish people would shut up with this tiny minority pish. Watch tomorrow at Perth, it is not a minority. People are making up figures to suit their own agendas.

What makes them stupid? It's well known why Lennon made the spelling comment - it refers to the Poppy banner by the Green Brigade - he implicates them for this banner and then ridicules them.

He's saying in his previous posts that there was no proof that it was the Green Brigade. I don't know what side he's on now.

I've stated all along that there is no proof that it was the Green Brigade and that Lennon made a dig at the Green Brigade with the spelling comment.

There have been several spelling and grammatical mistakes on the banners flown at celtic park. Lennon was clearly having a dig at these. I dont know if he meant the green brigade, or just idiots who fly these banners. No point in me speaking for him, but he was clearly attacking the people who fly banners such as these, not the celtic support at large.

As I have said if people are going to fly banners solely to offend people and get some attention, they should not complain if they cannot write properly and they are mocked for it. Cannot have it both ways. It makes them look ridiculous.

Personally, i thought the 'protest' was a silly, childish, crass thing to do... Gained nothing, and certainly did unnecessary harm to our rep by playing into the hands of those that will use it against us. If it bad even been something smart or clever i wouldnt have minded.

That said, although i smiled at first when i heard it, i can see why some people see it as an attack on the GB... Would have ben more prudent to sidestep it and focus on the football... Guess thats just NL for you...

The bit in bold suggests you don't think it was an attack on the Green Brigade...
