Comments on here make me feel totally embarrassed to be a Celtic fan. The ones about Neil Lennon being a hun or commenting on his appearance are hunbelievable. Whoever was responsible for the banner on thursday night has caused more damage to the club just after the UEFA fine. I find it hard to believe it was only one guy behind it. But we should not let these clowns hijack the club support. What really * me off is the fact they think they speak for our support as a whole. Who the F*** do they think they are? I think the support should be self-policed. Whether the GB have the leadership and direction to do this is another question. It's time they had a summit to find what direction they are going down. Are they going to continue create a fantastic colourful atmosphere without their own political views or are they going to continually embarrass the club and support on a regular basis with ill thought out banners and political chanting/songs. If its the latter, i cant see them lasting as an organisation for too long. They will crumble from within, as the divide widens. No place for it at Celtic park or away in 2011. Keep the Rebel songs for your own wee rebel nights, don't tarnish our club! The GB are in a great position to influence the whole support. They should take that great responsibility and put it to good use rather than creating negativity for some individuals self gratification.

More spin than the Daily Record....

His sly dig is clearly aimed at the Green Brigade - the same Green Brigade who stood by him when he needed them last year yet he puts the boot into them when they needed him hence its selfish.

    Grow up!

I'm not a member of the Green Brigade and I supported Neil Lennon... so did the guys sitting left, right, forward and back of me at CP!

Yes but I mentioned the Green Brigade specifically as Lennon's sly comment was aimed solely at them.

'More spin than the daily record' Well, I do not read the DR and the only comments that I have listened to re the banner and Neil's comments were on the Scottish news last night. I do not need to read into it any further, or provide any further spins. The facts are perfectly clear-Crass, offensive banner and our Manager saying that the fans that did it have embarrassed the Club-The whole Club. That includes me as a fan. The people that did this do not deserve my support as a fan, so why should our Manager support them for their stupid and damaging behaviour?

I wasn't saying you read the Daily Record, I was saying you spun what I had been trying to say previously by ignoring my other posts afterwards.

My point here isn't that Lennon is wrong to condemn them - that is his opinion and he's entitled to it. What was wrong was having a go at the Green Brigade and insulting them.

He needed them and every other Celtic fan last season so that's a steaming pile of pish right there.

Self-importance issues. Celtic and Neil Lennon would/will be still here without the GB.

Because they know that they have to clutch at every straw they can find when they know they're in the wrong!

For * sake I'm not suggesting the Green Brigade are Celtic or something? All I'm saying is Lennon insulted them and had a sly dig at them whic was unnecessary and he has a short memory given the way they supported him.

The flag was incredibly stupid though. What was it's purpose?

Was the guy that put up the banner a member of the Green Brigade?

To be honest I'm sick of all this *. It only creates in-fighting between Celtic fans. Can't imagine you'd get this sort of anger between huns. Tired of coming on this forum and seeing so many threads that are nothing to do with football.

If you polled our home support, and our away support, polls like this would be at least 70/30 the other way. The self loathers sitting watching the games on their laptops fill these polls with their so called majority opinion.

And who the * do you think you are with your 'we don't want you'. This self loathing pandering to the media and 'our reputation' is a new phenomenon fed to you by the PLC and people like you are falling for it hook line and sinker. What happened to 'we don't care what the animals say'?

So what do you suggest? Put him over a knee and spank him? He called a few fans illiterate. Insult or no, it's a * storm in a tea cup.

You'd think Lenny had just murdered Jesus.

I'd suggest that he didn't make it a personal dig at the Green Brigade when it might not even have been them.
