Fact is all he had to do was open up play, but instead he "held" up our attack. He has no vision, no skill, no passing accuracy, no pace, his definsive midfield work is non-existent.

I love this type of post. It means the guy who posts it knows nothing about football and you don't have to read anything he writes ever again. Saves on time.

I'm not going 2 get drawn in on another Lennon bashing...
the fact is about 80% of Celtic fans know hes not got it anymore its just a matter of time.
I would like 2 thank Lennon for everything he has given us for the past 6 or 7 years its time to go before he gets hounded out...and that would be ashame!

I agree with that. Another year and the relationship between Lenny and the supporters could be soured completely.

His presence in a non-playing role might be beneficial, but if he wants to play every week then he needs to leave.

All good things come to an end and I don't want the fantastic memories he's helped give us tarnished.

Lennon is 36 did you see him trying to stop the likes of Kaka ? More younger and agile players like Fabregas and Xavi will walk past him in CL games . Its ot his fault his legs have gone im not slaggin him its just cold hard facts

99.9% of defensive midfielders would struggle with Kaka. If you can find a way to sign one of the top .1% then of course drop Lennon. If you can't inject that kind of cash into the club, Lennon and Sno (who also has an agility problem) should share the role.

No, lennon should leave... he surplus to requirements imo... I would be happy if he stayed as a coach for the younger players. But thats it.

i agree he could stay on in some coaching capacity . We need a free flowing midfield WITHOUT Lennon . Lennon slows it down too much which allows opposition to get back and get organised . If we play with pace and speed in the middle they other SPL sides will not cope with us and we will start to win games at CP 4-0 and 5-0 like a few years back :celt_2::50:

i happen to agree with the Bhoy malone . Bobo was a very good defender for us he was just rash a few times and happened to cost us badly eg Lyon and Seville

Did Lennon play in Celtics 5-1 win against St Mirren, I dont think he did?
Dont be calling me names, that are unfounded!
In rgards to Lennon, he has been good for Celtic in the SPL, certainly not a liability, but in Europe and NOW in the SPL its very evident to me he is little value and is a HOLDUP midfielder, not a holding midfielder. :87:

Bobo Balde was poor at going up for attacking corners, * McManus and Pressley have better records doing that. Balde also near ran through Sutton at a corner and put him out of the game for * weeks, Balde is in fact fitless, he has a left foot that is virtually worthless, and please dont come back and say he score a goal with his left foot, I already know that.
The rumours way back about him going for big money to big clubs, was absurd to say the least, what you see with Balde is what you get, and I suggest you watch even from now on where he attempts to apply his fitba, because it AINT gonna happen. :38:

Oh don't you know? There's always room for a 'BooBoo' slag-in, doesn't matter what the thread is about. Every time there has been about 10 new signings for Talk Celtic since Huberts last rant, he opens up Word, opens the 'booboo rants' file and highlights a pre-written text (they all contain the same points so it doesn't matter which one), copies it, comes over to Talk Celtic and pastes it into a random current debate on the forum. :56:

That Hubert, what a rascal :56:

Your assesment of Beattie is laughable. He's a youngish, injury prone player who's work rate makes him more than welcome in the Celtic squad as far as I am concerned - he just scored the winning goal in a full international. As for Jarosic, do you think Strachan forked out 2m to have him warm the bench? He made a mistake with that signing and has since recognised the fact. Jarosic, bought for the 1st team has since been relegated from the 1st team, so i'd say his assesment of that player has been realistic.

Is it that realistic to pay that kinda money for a central midfielder and play him out left or as a second striker and then make that assessment of him?

Realistic? I don't understand what you mean. Do you mean that he should play him in CM even if he beleives it will hurt the team because of the money he paid for him?
