The fans have a right to be * off? We won the game for * sakes. And we played some really good stuff in the process.

If fans are going to mump and moan when we win and play well then I wish they'd stay the * away from Celtic Park. They're not helping the team and their negativity is not needed.

The greatest Celtic manager of all time had his altercations with fans both in person and through the media, Brain clough who would be in anybody with half an iq point top ten managers of all time actually waded into a group of his own fans while they were celebrating on the pitch and started throwing punches at anyone of them he could reach.

When i hear some of the abuse our "fans" dish out to players and the manager they must think that the ticket money they spend gives them a right to behave like a ten year old kid that got optimus prime off santa instead of a nintendo nes.

Your ticket gives you the right to support the club and its manager and players, if we had lost i could see the point in being angry but i still have never booed or abused any celtic player or manager and i have been to at least 400 games, so have seen some utter pish but still never booed the team.

We won that game playing some top quality football how it never finished 5 or more nil i will never know, but thats football, barca should of took 7 of us on david marshalls debut but they never again thats football.

If were gonna start booing and abusing lennon after dragging us by the ear back into touch with rangers then some fans need to find another hobby, i suggest wwf where there is always a bad guy to boo

The thing is - nobody knows what was shouted to him. I think it must have been really bad for Lenny to react.

He's always stuck with the fans before saying he can understand our frustration at times.

Yes it was quite unprofessional but whatever was said must have been really bad.

None of the rest of us would take crap of someone else so why should he.

I can moan like * at a game but as soon as the final whistle goes and we've got the 3 pts, I'll cheer and clap my team, even if a bit disappointed at the performance.
This guy sounds like he was at it the whole game and it must have got to Lennon, especially since we won.

Again the media all over Lenny for nothing ! The guy is passionate about the club, and will defend it and his team when he can ! I'd rather that, than some lifeless, clueless, i'll just sit here and do * all manager (Mowbray anyone !).

I think someone specificly shouted and bemoaned a certain player and thats why lenny reacted like he did.

lenny had every right to shout back at criticsism he is human afterall plus it wasnt valid and was uncalled for he played a the best possible team to win they made so many chances scored 2 thats not lennys fault thats just players being unlucky with chances . give the bloke time to turn it round fs. people want strachan back. but just remember the same people wanted strachan out at the begining of his tenure because of bratislava and losing the first old firm he got given time and was extraordinary.

People pay their money to go to games and deserve to shout whatever they like (football related) at Lennon. It was stupid abuse but they deserve the right to say it.
Lennon on the other hand has no right to go * ape * at fans.

Why is this still going on? The 'incident' lasted about 1 and a half seconds. He said like 2 words to a random fucknugget in the crowd, who gives a *!

If Ferguson has jumped the barrier and nutted a fan I don't think it would have received this much attention. We cant blame the BBC for highlighting it when there's like 3/4 pages of fans still talking about.

It's in a football supporters nature to get nervy with 5 minutes to go and only 2-1 ahead, it's also in a football supporters nature to be a moany *!

IMO Lenny can't be getting involved with fans like that. None of us know how it feels to have a stadium full on your back but Lenny is a professional manager and with that comes the responsibility to carry yourself in a certain manner.

imo if the man was being overly offensive lenny has every right to respond. his response lasted about 10 seconds it was hardly a major flashpoint.
