While tomorrow is important in itself for the three points, I think those who want Lennon sacked should be more circumspect. It doesnae matter where we are in the league after tomorrow, its where we are after the next game against rangers that is more important. If we are not in a position to mount a serious challenge in January 12 then he may walk and if he doesnt walk then he may be pushed. You have got to remember that although the form has been poor we are still in all competitions that we entered. We are one match away from a league cup final, still in with a shout for the Europa league and nothing in any of the comps we have entered has been decided. We have key players coming back into the team so at least give the man until then b4 calling for him to fall on his sword, or be sacked. Personally, I think he will be here for the rest of the season at least.

there is no chance we can attract someone from the EPL at the moment, talk of coyle, martinez (who i dont rate in any case, anyone who has caldwell as captain......) or lambert is just nonsense; fact is we are not as big a draw as we were and until we get ourselves back into top european competition or move to a better, more profitable league it's going to stay that way.

and in any case our board would probably end up going for a diddy like stuart kean or someone equally *

this is all academic however as we still have a manager and I certainly hope and pray he can turn it round

Yeah I only mentioned guys that were linked with us before Lennon was confirmed manager. We could always look to the continent if things don't work out like we did for Jansen. I hope by this time tomorrow though, we will be talking about a good performance instead of whether Lennon should be sacked or not.

Sadly I strongly disagree with this. To manage celtic nowadays any manager of standing would have to take a personal pay cut, agree to less money to spend, take over a team build with freebies and cheapest options, and accept that he either wins the league in a year else he is out. He would have to accept that to have any money to spend he would have to sell anyone in the squad actually worth anything.

And then even if he does win the league, fans might still want you out (see Strachan or McLeish at Rangers). And then because the league is viewed as so insignificant your achievements will get you a decent championship club position at best after you leave (again see Strachan and McLeish).

Paul Lambert's has won back to back promotion with his team that is currently 9th in the biggest league in the world and has so far taken points off Liverpool at Anfield and ran Man Utd and Chelsea very close. We get to play St Johnstone and Kilmarnock and we cant even beat them! Sad as it is, being totally impartial I can appreciate why any manager would manage Norwich over Celtic with the current level of ambition shown by our board.

Sorry mate but this is nonsense.
Firstly, there hasn't been 60k at Celtic park for at least 3 years.
Secondly, I would love a manager like Lambert but he'd rather manage norwich than us.
The sad fact is, unless currently out of work, no half decent manager will come near us with our 3 million a year budget.

Not sure. If we have a good manager lined up, why not? But then again, that's unlikely to happen.

No need for the poll. We've turned the corner, and will win comfortably.

He should have been sacked after the St Johnson game. I'm sick of hearing "Give him untill the end of the season" wasn't that what people were saying last season?. I seriously think we will get beat tomorrow. And before people hurl abuse at me, remember after the 4-1 game I said we would * up on Saturday and it happened, a midweek win doesn't cover up the cracks for me.

Why do you hate lenny so much?
Get the feeling you will be supporting those motherwell huns tomorrow.
    Disgraceful.

Eh... Look at the league table mate we are only a mere 15 points behind rangers. But your right it's got nothing to do with him running our club into the ground... It's because I just simply don't like the man

will a new manager come in with a magic sponge and suddenly have a full squad to chose from?
ok maybe lennon has made a few tactical * but injury has played a major part.

i really believe that, if given the chance and a few bucks to spend we will be a force in europe again. everything can't be a quick fix, sometimes it takes a spell like we are going through to come out better at the end.

Its the boards fault anyway, we wouldn't be where we are if we had invested at the right time

Our club is being run into the ground but i don't blame lenny. I blame the pathetic level of investment 100%. Not saying lenny is faultless but just get the impression you're hoping we lose.

look. i see your point here, but what i'm trying to put across is 10-12 managers in the epl have not a chance of winning a trophy or a medal in there entire career in that league, the best the majority of them will ever achive is the manager of the month. now i know the argument that they'll earn 5 times the salary down south playing to home crowds of 25-30,000 and fighting relagation every season. it's all about ambition, there will be managers in the epl whom are more intrested in personal ambition rather than personal finances.

Without your "I love Lenny no matter what he does" specs on. Would you honestly trust a man with 10 million who doesn't even know when to make a sub?.

In the last game, Lennon made a substitution and the same player scored 4 minutes later. The problem is that we don't usually have the luxury of having the likes of Hooper: reliable game-changers. You can't blame this manager for the poor level of our squad. It goes higher up...

Well said. I get the feeling that there are many folk on here who don't like Lennon because it seems to be the cool thing to do right now. I'm willing to bet that when a lot of them sit back and think about it, they don't actually know themselves why they don't like him.

Lennon has done the best he possibly can with the money that they have given him so far. He has managed to unearth little gems like Kayal and Izaguirre, players who we could potentially make a huge profit on in the future. The only real waste of money that I can think of is Juarez and he may yet turn out to be good for us one day. He's only on loan right now and if Lenny likes what he sees and thinks he can contribute to the squad, he'll bring him back.

People are far too quick to forget that Lennon had to entirely rebuild the shambles of a team that Mowbray assembled.

If you want instant success, then maybe you're better off supporting Barcelona or Man United, because we're still in the middle of a rebuilding process right now and it doesn't look like the board are willing to invest a lot of money into the team, which is just ridiculous on their part.
