You really are off your rocker if you think McCourt was the answer. The guy doesn't have the pace or drive to track the ball when we don't have it. Sure he could hold onto the ball for a bit but more often than not he then runs into a wall of players or give the ball away. Tell me what exactly Lenny did wrong apart from not bringing on McCourt in your eyes. Was McCourt going to play at left back?

 

You have to give credit to Udinese's GK he was excellent. Couple of good Udinese players. They looked very poor in the first half. I would say we played well but not that good. Some players did well but some were average. Thankfully Udinese were very poor tonight.

 

Good game on now, but don't really have the heart to watch it.

 

He never stuck his chest anywhere - it was a fair shoulder to shoulder challenge in from the side. As soon as the player felt Hooper he went down like a * sack of spuds.

 

I'm actually happier with Zaluska in goals that Forster tbh... I dont know why I just dont get that much confidence with forster

Agreed. Having said that, I think they had a real shout earlier when Maj bundled over their guy in the box. Still though, disappointed with the result but the performance was decent enough.

Don't think it should stop with him tonight. The ref gave the decisions - not Lennon. If the ref had better eyesight and saw that it was never a penalty and we won 1-0 Lennon would be hailed for fielding a great team and going with good tactics. But even when the ref gives the crap decision it's suddenly Lennon's fault?

 

true, but i thought we had weathered the udinese fight back and had got our luck with their offside goal; then we get a bad penalty decision against us, gutted. though udinese probably did deserve a point based on their 2nd half.

that said, but for their goalie we would have won that.

all in all, a more than respectable result against a good side from a superior league.

Dont blame anyone, was just unlucky that we didnt get the win! We played well throughout the game, much improved from the atletico and rangers game!

There were far too many occasions in that 2nd half where we were found wanting. Not good enough and getting caught on the break while leading at home in Europe is just inexperience on the part of both the players and the management.

I thought Ki had a good match and there weren't many others tbh.

 

One moment you cant stand the Lennon bashing, then you're ok with it when people bash Sammy and the next thing you say we should stand as one as a family. Great post Mickey.
