All over them in the first half, * poor in the second. The team always seem to sit back when they take a lead against bigger sides. It was a poor decision by the ref, but regardless of that, we had it coming. Not good enough in the second half. We arent good enough to compete at this level when it matters.

 

Ki, Wanyama, Kayal and Bangura were our best players

 

Their goal keeper was incredible.

 

Everybody on the pitch played very well with the exception of maybe Bangura and of course the ever dreadful Georgios * Samaras

 

mc court loses possession more than any player I've ever seen......apart from samaras

 

Enraged at that decision to give the penalty for them. I can't remember the last time I was so worked up over a game. I accepted the result against The Huns last weekend pretty quickly, because we made a few team selection errors that day and paid for it. We dominated the game for long spells tonight and should have won.

I honestly can't remember shouting and swearing at the TV as much in my life.

On the bright side of life, I thought we played well tonight. Even Majstorovic had a good game and I don't recall him making any mistakes. A sign he's improving, hopefully.

he absalutly terrorised there back 3 in the 1st half. and his game took a dip with the teams in the second.

he also won a penalty, had some great lik up play, ran his socks off and won many free kicks.

i suppose ur right he shouldnt hav bothered his * working back in the 84th minute to his own box, sign of a bad forward

However to a foreign referee it's a penalty all day long.

 

Why.....? the buck stops with him.

 

Don't tell me that Samaras is better player than Stokes? Lenny you are a clown ... Samaras is useful only at the bench.

 

Hooper was making a legitimate challenge for the ball. It's not his fault that the guy dived like he had just been taken out the game and the ref was totally conned.

Penalties may be given like that all the time but it doesn't make the decisions correct because those kinds of decisions are shocking.

 

lots of good performances tonight; wanyama was excellent and incredibly our defence looked good, even Dan!!

 

sammy, hooper and wilson were pretty *, ledley and mulgrew were good and madge and matthews were decent as well

 

So sticking your chest out against someone's shoulder is enough to fall over and merit a penalty? Your * chest. Get a grip, seriously, that's embarrassing mate!

 

* straight. There's a great deal of positives to take from not only this performance, but the one against Atletico -- not against a 'B' team, Mr. Burley.

 

Honestly was probably a fair result on the balance of play but still a sickner to take.

 

I'm really depressed after that refereeing decision. In my opinion, to get through this group, we now definately have to beat Rennais home and away and Atletico at home.
