Things would be different if it was Lawwell's job on the line.

You said about Lennon being cheap management? Now your going on about 3 years? I think your expecting us to go out and spend 8-10 million on a single player, crazy.

I was expecting to start the season with a reasonable defence as it was glaringly obvious it needed fixed last season when we crashed out of Europe. But instead, we signed players that we'll hope to sell in a few years who are nowhere near ready to win back the title.

Lets be honest here most of the celtic fans were creaming there pants when lennon got the job.....and even more when he stayed at the end of last season.
Now after some games have been lost there is calls for his head and for the club to spend 10 million.....both of these options will not solve our problems.

Celtic are to soft....there is very little fight in our team, people slate brown right left and center but for me there is only him and kayal with some dig in our team.
Brown is a royal pain in the * to other teams and i think he is very under rated.
Our defence is well just * crap and our strikers are soft, put this team against any team with some fight in it and we will lose.

Teams that play us know we are a soft touch these days and on sunday it showed badly.
I would think over the last three years we have spent as much if not more than rangers yet they have managed to out fox us for three years and i can only put this down to two things, they had smith and we changed managers to often and had to try and settle 20/30 players.
So lack of spending is not the cause of our poor showing these last few years we have spent but its been spread over so many players its had very little affect.

The board gave us MON and WGS and they won us the spl and gave us some great nights in europe, after wgs left the fans wanted more celtic minded men and we got TM and now Lennon so we can hardley blame the board for giving us what we asked for.

so whats the difference between a freebie and a player say costs 4m? hee haw . spending big doesnt mean you will have a great player. and there are a lot of decent freebies out there.

Now after some games have been lost there is calls for his head and for the club to spend 10 million.....both of these options will not solve our problems. YOUR KIDDING?

Celtic are to soft....there is very little fight in our team, people slate brown right left and center but for me there is only him and kayal with some dig in our team. CORRECT . ADD MULGREW TO THAT LIST

Brown is a royal pain in the * to other teams and i think he is very under rated. CORRECT . FULLY SUPPORT BROWN

Our defence is well just * crap and our strikers are soft, put this team against any team with some fight in it and we will lose. SURELY THAT MEANS WE SHOULD CHANGE IT THEN ?

Teams that play us know we are a soft touch these days and on sunday it showed badly.

The board gave us MON and WGS and they won us the spl and gave us some great nights in europe, after wgs left the fans wanted more celtic minded men and we got TM and now Lennon so we can hardley blame the board for giving us what we asked for. YOUR KIDDING . THE BOARD ARE TAKING THE * OTHERWISE IF WE WERE AFTER QUALITY CELTIC MINDED PEOPLE WE WOULD HAVE MOYES LAMBERT OR COYLE. BOARD WENT FOR THE CHEAP OPTION

Are there a lot of freebies out there that come here and realise what it is to play for a club like celtic ,who are hungry for success ?

simple facts are if the scouting is done properly then the general rule is the more you spend the better you get . nobodys asking for a knee * reaction and go out and buy anybody . im asking for the board to realise we are fed up watching a 2nd rate team and that they have 3.5 months to establish quality signings to bring some respect back to this club. nobody is scared to play us now at celtic park .

    * bring the thunder back . bring the quality back and the fear factor and the thunder will come free

Need to pick you up on that last point mate. Coyle and Lambert openly turned us down. Moyes is loyal to Everton as well.

Coyle turned Celtic down because of the lack of money available.

the point i was trying to make is that we went for lennon 1. because he was cheap 2. quick fix to the fans to make the life of the board easy, would be the same if they brought henrick back . it was as much a pr stunt as anything else . it was a win win for the board as it was a cheap option and a fans favorite

If rumours are to be believed then aye he did.

Would've made a cracking Celtic manager, IMO. Was my first choice for it at the time.

You're correct in saying they wanted a cheap fix - hence why they went for guys with not a lot of experience, i.e. Coyle and Lambert. However, those two were on the list before Lennon - but I'd like to reiterate that they turned us down.

Why would Moyes leave Everton for us? Everton are "his" club. I'm sure he's been approached by other clubs for his fantastic work at a club with meagre resources, yet he remains...
