I was baffled by people drawing that comparison myself, I think Brown offers far more to Celtic than McCourt anyway. They are totally different players but Brown is playing out of his skin these days and I feel as though we are a better team with him playing in it.

Brown has won me over this season i must admit. I was his biggest critic for a long time but some of his performances this season have been excellent. The game against Benfica was one of if not the best he has had in a Celtic jersey IMO. His passing and first touch are still pretty poor on numerous occasions but his work rate and tenacity is second to none.

then he would have to try and change his game up a bit and work even harder to get into the side

he only came off the bench and done well for a short time after that and before that we did not need him, and he is not needed still

really don't get that people think he is needed

part in bold, he was not excellent at all he done well that was it and was replaced by a much better player

we have to look at the facts, 3 different managers have not made him a starter, i really wonder why

i have nothing against paddy, but if he was good enough he would be playing every week and it must mean he is not good enough in training or players are better in the starting 11 and IMO it's both

I guess this is maybe just a subjective thing, because I really thought he was one of our standouts. He scored very important goals and almost everything attacking went through him.

I agree that there is a reason he isn't starting every game. I'm far from one of the people who claims him to be some world beater, but I do think he is also unfairly treated by a large section of our fans.

I understand that but he's like 28, he can't really be adapting his game too much, he has a certain playing style.

I'm not saying we need him, I'm just saying he's a handy player to have.

I agree with that. He was one of our standouts, hence why he went on a good run in the team, including a game against 'The Rangers'. And he does seem to get unfairly treated now.

    He has to go.

Why bring him on instead of McGeouch? A young, hungry and good player that has a future at this club.

McCourt is just *, in all honesty.

Someone once described McCourt as our "bench-warming mascot" but in today's match he showed what he's capable of.

I would have started him today.

Aye, that's what's * me off as well.

Some people clearly have some long stored-up hate for or frustration with McCourt that they decided needs aired today (of all days) for some reason.
