Love lenny but if Samaras is picked before Stokes again then Im gonna join the que of people wanting him out. Stokes = Statistically our best player .. Samaras = Statistically our worst. Not to mention the partnership with Hooper... It isnt a hard decision.. If i were the Lawell i would pay Samaras off so Lennon was forced to play sum1 else

Ranks up there with some of the worst posts ever on here.

Captain fantastic McStay who did nothing of note in a Celtic jersey is a legend but Lennon, who captained us to numerous trophies in a side that went to a Uefa cup final, is not?

Pick fault at his decisions by all means but turning on him completely because of 1 result is a poor, poor show by any standard.

we needed to at least go out and try and win yesterday, and this imo we didnt try to do!

somethings getting lost in translation between Neil and the players or he's trying to fit square pegs in round holes

i defy anyone here to have been in a positive frame of mind about that game yesterday after just 5 minutes of it ?

the ball was getting passed about like pass the * parcel between us and them

we werent in the right frame of mind for that game yesterday (our biggest spl fixture of the season against our biggest rivals why is that) i suspect a european hangover was partly the cause because we looked sluggish but i think there was more to it than that.

we need to play straight forward formations like 442 play our best players in it and when we are a few goals up and winning thats when to experiment with formations and playing styles, not when your form has been patchy or after a tough away european game

cmon neil we all want you to be sucessfull but you have to start doing the simple things right ffs

sammy shouldn't have been playing from the start yesterday, maybe as a sub later if we were getting beat!
If ledley was fit he should have started on the left!
Brown apart from 15m at the end of the first half was anonymous so should have been replaced with forrest as early as possible, he was injured and limping badly at the end of the 1st half!
mulgrew should have played either centre back or left back although i dont think Glenda had a bad game wilson had a bit of a mare though, so left back for mulgrew and we should have hooper and stokes up front

thats the team that should have played everyone here knows it thing is why didn't you Neil ?

it's baffling Neil our team has better players and better technique than rankers do but your formations and 1st team picks are strange and it's hurting us!

i think you may be overthinking just chill and play to our strengths and that isn't by playing the big man samaras he just is so inconsistant and not a team player he's a bit of a maverick really and a managers worst nightmare is an inconsistant player he'll cost you your job and no celtic fan wants that

Dimitri Kharin won the treble with us, so is he a 'Legend' too !!??!!

When it comes to Lennon, people tend to think with their hearts !!!
Stop & think with your brains..................................
Is he a good manager ?
Come this January, he'll be 2 full seasons in charge at Celtic & what has he got to show, 1 Scottish Cup !!!

Do you actually think any 'Non Celtic Minded' manager would have got this much time to bed in ? Tactically naive is pressure games & games that really matter.....................

While a *, broke, bankrupt, Tax-Man's favourite team has won 3 title's in a row & given half a chance may win it again this season !!!

I'm a realist & think with my brains & all I can say is Celtic comes first to me. So if Lennon is found wanting ( Looks like he already is), he can go for all I care & no tears will be shed by me !!!!

He didn't take over in January. It was late March.

You're not a realist you are a pessimist. He has had 1 full season, there has been 3 trophies he could have won; he won 1, and he lost the other 2 at the very last hurdle.

I'm not sure * Kharine has got to do with Celtic captains and their relative success? Maybe you should take a piece of your own advice and think with your head.

And I could have been the American President !!!!!!

    Dear Sir,

Kharin has nothing to do with Celtic captains, please do read the other posts to realise the context of the afore mentioned line, before ridiculing me.

'Assuming & Pressuming', just like how, some people think Lennon is going to be the next Stein or Clough or Ferguson !!!

Bits in bold are laughable. Lennon will have had two full seasons next June, when he will have had the chance to win 6 trophies. Lennon will have had two full years as of next March.

The second point has little to do with Lennon, who only had the chance to stop one of them, and the future scenario of them having "half a chance" is also irrelevant to your argument. We have as much of a chance as them.

Nothing of note in a Celtic jersey? *. One of the best midfielders the club's ever had. Fantastic passer, great shot on him, elegant touch.

It's telling that you mention trophies to back up Neil Lennon at the detriment of Paul McStay. Lennon, who won the majority of his trophies when we were spending millions on players and had world-class footballers like Henrik Larsson, Lubo Moravcik and then guys like Chris Sutton and Stan Petrov. Neil Lennon never, ever played in a poor Celtic side. Paul McStay did and he still shone. The difference in the two Celtic's that they played for is massive.

I'm stunned that you'd even question the fact that many regard McStay as a Celtic legend. He's in the official greatest 11 and rightly so. You'd have a leg to stand out if Lennon was actually a major contributor in us getting to Seville.

A bit of respect and perspective is needed here.

Who thinks Lennon is going to be the next Stein, Clough or Ferguson?

    You are being utterly ridiculous.

I note your name is 'McStay'

He was a good midfielder in a bad side yes. He won hee haw as Celtic captain. In fact maybe if McStay had the winning mentality that our manager had then he wouldn't have bowed out without a whimper with no medals in his cabinet.

i think were getting a bit over the top here, ok i agree mistakes were made with tactics and selection, but if you think before the game started very few of us would have thought that the huns could have beaten us, even with the team we put out. rangers tactics were spot on, attack from the start, and even if celtic had been 4 up at half time we'd still got beat. the team couldn't change tactilly mid-game and that is the problem. remember we're only 6 games into the season not 6 games till the end. we'll still win the league

    Exactly..

Too many off our support only seem to know there history post martin o neil... they seem to think Celtic Football Club began the day Neil Lennon walked in the door

Well bigger men than Neil Lennon got the boot from Celtic for Less & our club is going backwards under him yet still the "thunder" brigade cant admit it..

Neil thanks for everything but you should have known not to take on a job that was too big for you too soon.. you are not learning from your mistakes & you keep repeating them and that is unforgivable

im sorry for everything that happened in his personal life but we cant let that cloud our judgement of him as a manger..so far hes failed big time & hes had enought time & refuses to change... time to walk Neil!!!!

Why potray this as a bad thing? Neil Lennon wanted to bring atmosphere to Celtic Park, something I and many others believe was needed desparately- he has done so, and now you use the term "thunder brigade" to insult fans who don't want Neil Lennon sacked. Strange thought-process.

I still think lenny is our man and if he isnt i think alot of ytou need to take a good look at yourself and treat the situation with more sentiment. When Tommy Burns was forced out it broke my heart. Played attractive football and imo was probably the most unlucky manager to ever hold the celtic job. He deserved time, as a celtic legend and as a man that produced exciting football. Unfortunately for tommy he wasnt successul as a manager but am still glad he was given the time he deserved.

Lenny too, deserves the time. He has shown great dedication to the club, put up with a whole lot last season. Considering the resources he has had to work with he has picked up some smashing players in this short stint so far. Tactically he has to improve granted. But remember if it was not for a Samaras penalty special last season we would be current spl champions, and those saying lenny is not the right man for the job would have a completley different point of view right now.

It doesn't help we are all casting opinion on the back of a poor display at ibrox, infairness it is the fixture that matters most. However Lennys record in OF games is still favorable, thats encouraging and with a little bit of time and faith from us, he can go on to big things as celtic manager!
