I think anything that includes killing live creatures is evil and can't see why people enjoy it.

    Blood thirsty * IMO.

Hiding behind a facade of 'sport ' is just a * take

    There's no need for it

They know it and we know it , fox hunting etc is just a jolly for the upper classes of society in the UK

The reason for this thread is I live in Malta and you can't even walk in the countryside for hunters shooting anything that moves. They shoot storks, flamingos, turtle doves, swans, hawks...doesn't matter if they are protected or not. The government have been warned by the EU not to allow it, but they ignore the EU and let the hunters get away with it because the governmant need their votes. It * me off.

Aye it's abominable alright don't know about Malta(swans & flamingos really?why) but where i live it's just the preserve of the rich and the bored wannabe society people. Now and again they come into our boozer during a hunt for brandys and such.Acting as if they are fecking English gentry.

There is something about a woman in jodhpurs tho

    Totally uncalled for and barbaric.
Sport my * just a shower of sick individuals that usually have more money than sense:38:

Just thought of a new "sport " and its called .......

"Hunting down people who hunt animals and either set loads of wee * dogs on them and watch it being ripped apart or either shoot birds and deer and whatever else and giving them a taste of their own medicine to see how they like it"

The name is a work in progress hence the length but its a good idea no?

PS graham1888 i must agree with you on the jodhpurs issue:50:

they say its pest control, but you dont dress up in a weird costume and ride your cat around the house if youve got mice or rats

My class had a discussion about this with the Modern Studies teacher today. I don't see how killing living things is classified as a sport. Folks who do it are posh, and arrogant, and have nothing better to do.

I don't think there is anything wrong with hunting if you eat what you kill. If you eat meat then you are guilty of killing animals.

Look at deer in Scotland, there are so many of them that they have to cull them anyway. If some rich foreigner wants to come over here and shoot an animal that is already going to be shot and pay for the privilage then I say that's fine.

I like hunting men, just ask Bobobhoy :84: Oh wait, you can't...:87:

Anyway on a more serious note I do not agree with the killing of animals for sport and I think that fox hunting is barbaric and outdated. I grew up in the countryside and had friends who used to go grouse beating for shooting parties which consisted mostly of rich, fat, Americans who wanted to experience a part of Scottish "culture". Admittedly they probably didn't shoot many grouse but I maintain that the idea of shooting something for fun is appalling.

On the other hand I would say that farmers are entitled to take genuine pest control measures, for example by shooting rabbits who may be eating their crops and foxes who are attacking their sheep.
