    They could still demand a decent fee for Dixon at this time..for a guy who would be on bench soon for us..you would think. Mulgrew can play left back, as can mark wilson

    mulgrew gives me a heart attack at left back sometimes and I dont feel wilson would sufice . how much do you think the lad dixon would cost ??

    I agree it would be ideal to sign another LB as cover but...
    wilson,mulgrew,ledley have all played lb before....as has o'dea ( not sure if he could be recalled.)

    a better lb than those would more than likely cost millions unless it was a loan deal.

    unless it fit in with the policy of investing in youth , I doubt its going to happen with 3 options already available.

    its possible we could sign a LB by tomorrow but highly unlikely....

    i don't think the board or lennon should get any flak if we don't sign another LB.

    Is that not tabloid rumour as well then?

    No decent left back will sign for us and tbf to the club, it would not be money well spent as Izzy is sure to get his place back. A 3 to 6 month loan would be sensible, and even then I could understand if we didn't do that.

    I am happy that we've bought Bangura and want Diawara. Shows that we are willing to spend some money.

    Sadly, looks like we arn't getting Diawara:38:
    On the upside, we might spend the same money, £2-3 million, on a CB:50:

    The defence is still pish,who is to blame,the board , lenny who?

    if this is not addressed in the next 24 hours or so, then we have missed another window in not improving this area

    then the board, lenny have not done there job effectively we have 3 useless * on our books in the Centre back department.

    either way not good enough and the huns will look to there forth title and the board will beg us to by season tickets once again

    pish to say the least

    If we get a cb and another striker maybe Diawara then i think we will be happy. We have alot of players being link with other clubs and most of them are players ppl would be happy to see leave.
