Thats not just Forster either. Maj has come in for it big time recently. Sammy is a long time abusee along with Loovens. Mulgrew got it tight start of last season also.

Point is regardless of who it is, how long they've been here as long as anybody pulls on the hoops for us i'll back him 110% whether or not i like or rate him at all.

An average player with bags of confidence will ultimately play better than an average player who gets ripped on and off the park week in week out. Zaluska is another who could do with a major confidence boost at the moment.

Good young keeper who will improve with experience imo and knows what to expect in the SPL .

You guys have got to be kidding me? The guy is a time bomb waiting to explode! A complete liability, do you all forget about the games we have lost (including against the manky mob) due to his lackluster kicking and inability to get down low enough to make a fairly easy save.

Once again the board may have * up our chances by signing a mediocre keeper at best who will undoubtedly cost us points and important games. And don't give me that clean sheet rubbish, the only reason he has kept a few clean sheets is because our defense is significantly better than past years.

    Goalkeeper position- Sorted? Hahaha.

Good stuff having the big man back, Lenny was mad keen to get keeping him at the end of last year so he obviously thinks a lot more of him than some on here:icon_mrgreen:.

If we had signed him back in June there would have been no looking for the pole over the summer

    Welcome home Frazer

Glad to see him back but just don't understand why it's taken so long.

Newcastle seem to have been pretty awkward about the whole thing.

Anyway, welcome back big man. :50:

If people can leave aside their "clean sheet record" fetish, they might realise that Forster has weaknesses and is probably not the long term option. He's back now though so i hope he proves me wrong and has a good season. I still don't think Zaluska deserves to be cast aside though, he has the number one jersey at the moment and should not be dropped for no reason. If it was up to me, Forster would have to fight for his place like the other keepers.

Why would we cast aside his clean sheets? If we were signing a striker would we say "forget about his goals"?

Forster has weaknessess in his game, his kicking can be a little erratic. But that is a technique that got better throughout the season. He is not as commanding in the air as he might be, but that I think, is down to his large frame not quite bulked out yet. Remember how lanky Craig Gordon was to begin with. He will work on that strength this season. And he wasnt the most talkative at the back. I feel that is down to his youth and perhaps his first season. At 23, though, he is further ahead in his development than McGregor at the same age, and if keeps progressing, will be a fantastic goalie.

And of course, those record amount of clean sheets. :50:

Jury's still out for me, mate but as i say, i hope he proves me wrong because Celtic can't afford any silly mistakes at the back this season.:icon_mrgreen:

I played in goals for a college team and we had a great defensive record, think i only conceded about 12 goals all season but i would be the last man to claim credit for that. Sure i made saves but i had a great team in front of me who pretty much dominated most teams we played against while scoring a lot at the other end. I think the situation with Celtic is similar. I'm not saying Forster's * but people need to stop talking about clean sheets as a conclusive analysis of his abilities

Better keepers out there, FF looks a bit slow getting down, thought he could have done better in the cup final against the Huns with both goals, but he's solid enough, & Celtic have won the league with worse keepers than him in the past ( Gould anyone!! )

I would still keep Zaluska in goals. He has got a good run in the team now and this will improve his confidence. Zaluska, with confidence and on form, is a better keeper than Forster imo

Disastrous performances against Ross County, Falkirk and St Mirren as well as an unforced error against Inter Milan and a lunatic run out to the edge of the box against Utd last week would suggest otherwise.

Sadly for Zaluska, he is unable to remain consistent for more than a couple of games.
