Looks like we need to sell in order to put in better bids for players. Under normal circumstances, I would keep him but I would sell any of the guys who can't get a game just now to buy a goalkeeper.

Prosinečki and Stojković were never the fittest guys on Earth either. But they played regularly, and fans wanted to keep them, not sell.

7 from 7 starts. How many did he score starting? Very few. Usually off the bench because he can't play 90 mins. He's not a team player. He can only go forward. Sammy has several parts to his game from goal to goal. He's not brilliant but I still prefer to see him coming on.

If Paddy could play as a team and track back he'd be on the team sheet week in week out and one of the best players in the SPL.
If Sammy was consistent he'd be one of the best players in the SPL.

Unfortunately they both have their flaws. But for me, it's Sammy.

It's the fickle fans that just blabber about Paddy's flaws I'd sell- to buy organs to be transplanted to Paddy, making him the best.:bbpd:

He seems the only player at Celtic that some fans can't take it when other fans have a go at. Like I said, he's Paddy '10 Brave Men' McCourt and that's why some fans get so * off when other people voice their entitled opinion.

Hahahaha, calm yourself, you've responded twice to the same comment I made, think you've more than covered your bases. Your hard man "I don't give a *" attitude has been noted; I won't take the same approach as I never understood chest thumping and the likes between Celtic supporters, but that's your prerogative. I just hope you've stocked up on jam rolls as it must be quite a heavy flow :56:

Dont think Paddy has it to really work back for the team, think he is at his best coming off the bench.
Last night was the first time he started for the national team that tells a story for me, Northern Ireland have to work their * off against most teams to try and get a result and I dont think Worthington thinks he has that in his game either.

The other side to that arguement is that at home against most of the SPL teams play against us with one up and ten behind the ball, Thats the type of games that he could start where we have the luxury of most of the possession and need to unlock teams. That said I probably still take the money if a decent offer came in

Prosinečki was maybe a player more geared towards passing and long shots, while Paddy is a dribbler that skins people alive, but essentially, they are both the type of player that, if left to do the role they do best, can solve the game on their own. People recognized the value in Prosinečki. Can we do the same with McCourt?

Prosinecki was the type of player that made the ball do most of the work for him he also had a fantastic footballing brain, a bit like jan molby, this more than made up for his lack of ability/effort at tracking bark and closing down. Paddy has fantastic talent no doubt, but does run down some blind alleys and loose possession leaving him well out of position with no real desire to work back
