We all know that but to be fair, they're not going anywhere are they? We either want fringe players off the books or we don't and we can't pick and choose which ones if the offers aren't there. Sad loss sure he's a good guy but if he goes and someone else comes in and is more use in a different position so be it

1m and its a deal! paddy will never be a huge player for us nor will he play from the start week in /out. the best thing to do is sell but as a few posts above malaoney ,sammy etc should be punted aswell.

I like paddy but he is not a starter so if they are offering 1.5 million I would say take it and spend it on that polish goalie

How many 90 minute games has the boy actually played? Don't think he has the legs for it.

He has the skill no doubt, albeit he can be sensationally greedy at times. So if skill isn't the reason keeping him out the squad surely it's his fitness level? I dunno.

Think if he's wanting regular football, it's best he goes elsewhere for it as I just can't see him getting it here.

Good player to have in the squad, would be sad to see him go. How many players do we have that actually make an impact off the bench? Other than Forest lately, it's been Paddy.

Paddy is a great player. Maybe not a starter but to come On and run tired teams ragged. I would HATE to see paddy go.

He's never going to be a starter but as someone has already said he IS an impact player that's good to have on the bench - in the SPL anyway. From his point of view can't see the point in him going to Wolves as their is no way he'll do to teams in the EPL what he sometimes does up here. Basically I'm saying if he's happy to stay as a bit part/impact player - keep him. If not let him go, but he's deluded if he thinks he'll play more often for anyone in the EPL.

Earned us 6+ points last year from his limited time on the pitch so id keep him.
Diehart Celt and a squad player on a squad players wage. I dont see why people are so happy to punt him.

so did rasmussen 2 years ago but everyone is wanting him chucked out the door.

tbh, it should be down to paddy what he wants to do. sit on the bench with the odd game at celtic, or do it down at wolves, because if anyone thinks he will be a started in the premiership, they are kidding themselves.

A better option from the bench than Maloney.

McCourt could be hunted by Wolves

PREMIER League club Wolves are set to test Celtic’s resolve by launching a transfer deadline swoop for Northern Ireland star Paddy McCourt later this month.

Former Derry City ace McCourt is currently preparing for a make-or-break Euro 2012 qualifer against the Faroe Islands tomorrow night but behind the scenes negotiations could soon begin over a move before the end of the month.

McCourt has never expressed a desire to quit Parkhead but the SPL giants may find it difficult to turn down a reasonable cash offer for the 27-year old who has so far failed to command a regular place in Neil Lennon’s starting line-up despite scoring some eye-catching goals since his switch from the Brandywell in 2008.

The Bhoys have rejected offers from Blackpool in the past but Wolves boss Mick McCarthy seems determined to see if there is a deal to be done.

News Letter Sport understands a loan deal would not be considered by either club, meaning the Black Country outfit will be forced to put their money where their mouth is if they are going to get their man.

Should Celtic give any indication they are open to offers for the talented midfielder, there is unlikely to be a shortage of managers willing to take McCourt south of the border.

Like Paddy but I think there's three I'd play ahead of him (Commons, Forrest, Maloney). If we can sell him to finance a keeper I'd be for it.

Works both ways, a lot of people overrate him (Paddy McCourt's * Army etc).

Yes, he can produce brilliance, but more often than not he's just a passenger and a black hole. Since he doesn't earn much and can be handy at times I don't mind keeping him, but wouldn't be too fussed if he's sold and the money's right.
