    That would surprise you btw.

3/4 season tickets holders in bowling club ( yes bowling club , they are not all havens for masons :86:) all agree that we shouldn't be back near Europe this season and Infact 1 suggested if we do, then leave the better players out to rest for more crucial SPL games as SPL surely is ours and managers priority this season.

I think if we did go through we should do a spurs and play a second string in most of the games, a dont think some fans would be happy but especially ones who paid, celtic should just sell home tickets for £10 or £15 for an *, that way the stadiums full

Nothing has been done yet, whether we wait a few days or not, waiting longer doesn't mean we won't get back in, i don't think we were going to get a definite decision today anyway.

I'm slowly changing my mind on the whole situation. It was all looking bleak before we started moving again in the transfer window, but my confidence has grown slightly now. I'm thinking, if we can get rid of Samaras and Maloney and replace them with quality (we already have Bangura, recommended by King Henrik and many others in the Swedish game), then we may have a good chance of progressing after all.

Hopefully things are looking up from this moment forwards :50:

We will still have to navigate two rounds of qualifying to get to the group stages of the CL next year, like the position Rangers were in this year.

Just double checked that there, a think a have been hearing on numerous sistes spl winners go straight in this year but this is not the case, just checked it on bert kassies........

    http://www.xs4all.nl/~kassiesa/bert/uefa/access2011.html

Officially it is 3 rounds but more likely 2. We couldn't play any team from a country ranked higher than 13th which is Switzerland so if we win the title we might have a good chance saying that we have just been pumped off the the fourth best team in switzerland. suppose its better than getting the likes of arsenal or 4th in serie a etc:86:

    I'm not picky.
So even though we played guff and a player that was ineligible to play scored TWICE against us and that they cheated by fielding a further 4 players over the two legs they STILL deserve to go through? We deserve to take their place on merit of them cheating ALONE! :31:

Name one other sport that anyone would turn round and pass up the opportunity of progressing into their next round after it was found out that an opposition team/player cheated? None that's who.

You think a silver medalist would not take the gold if the winner was found to have taken performance enhancing drugs? You think that a team wouldn't take the chance to progress if the winners were found to have bribed the officials? You think a team who fields INELIGIBLE players should progress over a team who DOESN'T field ineligible players? Absolute *!

Regardless of how we played over the course of two legs, they CHEATED!

Why should the Swiss FA have precedence over UEFA in a European match especially? That would be like UEFA charging Hun FC over sectarian chanting (which I know they did do) but the SFA coming in by defending them (which they usually do anyway) and UEFA backing down and saying "Oh, ok then - punishment has been lifted. We'll leave it to you." :97:

Probably because people WANT us to be in Europe and why shouldn't we be especially seeing as Sion cheated. If not then what are we doing trying to get into Europe every year for in the first place? You think that Sion have a world beating team and will set the groups stages alive with their scintillating play as well?

If people worry about how we would do against these teams in Europe then why don't we just pull out every year then to save the "embarrassment" of playing them. Why would it be any different if we beat Sion, got through to the group stages and STILL got * over? Just because we beat Sion on the field makes the "embarrassing" humpings by the other teams in the group better does it? I don't think so and we'd STILL be criticising the team on their performances if we got pumped!

FIFA, UEFA and CAS I think as well have actually all said that Sion has broken the laws of the game by fielding ineligible players so if nothing gets done then what's the point in have a transfer window if teams can get away with signing - and playing - players outside it?

Aye the SPL winners this season don't go straight into the group stages. Only thing that is different is that for the 2012/2013 season in Europe for us is we have two Champions League placings again rather than just the one like this year.

Depending on how well Scotland's national team do and how well we do if, we get back into Europe, will affect our 2013/2014 season and I think so far because of this season we have dropped back down to only one Champions League placing again for the 2013/2014 season in Europe.

we did what every club do, in respect with the players, the others club and all.. like all fair club do. you're searching reasons to excuse your elimination : "they winned because... )." no, you lost against a real team, built like all clubs build a team.

But whether the decision was a joke or not they still BANNED you from buying players but your team still went out and bought players before the whole situation was fully rectified.

No it's not cheating to buy players during any transfer window as long as you're LEGAL to do so and this is where the situation has come about. It's a bit like a big "* you" from Sion to UEFA & FIFA and that you're going to buy players anyway because the original reason was a joke as you say but the punishment was still handed down. It would be like a guy who's on probation committing a crime and not getting sent back to prison for it.

The player who scored the penalty may not have been playing and the player to take the penalty then might have missed. There are a whole load of if's and but's that could have happened in the game if the ineligible players didn't play but the fact of the matter is that FIFA & UEFA say that the transfer ban was in place so your team shouldn't have bought any players - period. It was better not to take that chance but that's not what happened.

Fielding a few ineligible players is not looking for any excuse just for us to get through. If you didn't play those players there wouldn't be an issue right now because you would have beat us fair and square but it wasn't a fair and square beating because of the players that shouldn't have been playing. And we didn't lose against a real team that was built like all clubs because not ALL clubs field INELIGIBLE players!

    Well said.

The fact that you disagree with the ruling does not make it ok that you defied it. Absolutely no way you will get away with ignoring a ban imposed by the football governing body. I just hope action is taken now, and not when it is too late for Celtic.

What * planet are you from? It sure as * isn't Earth.

    Here is the facts:

Sion illegally signed a player that they were not entitled to do so, effectively trying to cheat Al-Ahly out of their goalkeeper by forcing him to try to terminate his contract without good reason. This is a breach of FIFA transfer regulations.

FIFA ruled that Sion broke the rules, the case went to the Court of Arbitration for Sport and the Swiss High Court, all three upheld the desision that Sion cheated and a 2 year transfer embargo was handed to the club. That embargo was supposed to start in 2008, however due to you cheating * whining and moaning with appeals, trying to cheat your way out of it, the ban was held up until January 2011.

Sion then signed 5 players during the summer after an appeal to a local court, a decision which your idiot football association agreed to adhere to. FIFA have rightly stated that local courts have no say and bearing on punishment handed out to its member clubs and football assosiations and the transfer embargo remains.

Sion then cheat again by fielding some of these players in a Swiss league match, then despite warnings by FIFA and UEFA they then play them in the Europa League qualifying round first and second legs against Celtic.

You cheating * fielded ineligible players.

Fielding ineligible players is cheating, there's no comeback to that.

    Cheats should be punished.

If you don't understand that then you're thicker than a hun.

I feel sorry for the Sion fans like Gabu because of what this Constantin guy has done. He's probably fed them a load of * and it's because of him that they are in this mess in the first place. He's like the Swiss version of Mad Vlad from what I've read.
