No they don't. The Celtic supporters will determine what is acceptable.

    The bigger picture? Glasgow Hibernian?

Why should be hide in bars, or clubs. Supporting the IRA has enhanced our reputation, not sullied it.

No one is asking you to. Theres songs you can sing about your heroes while staying within what is acceptable and not.

In my opinion just now, is that songs are being sung more just simply to get it up everyone else. When I first started going to games rebels songs were few and far between.

Now I do enjoy listening to them. And my first post tonight was I wish officialls came out and said what was allowed to get sung at games. But until then sing away. But when anything gets done that will harm our club in this day and age then pack it in. Otherwise your basically being selfish and pandering tou your own self obsessed causes.

Because I enjoy doing it at my immigrant Irish football club. Were we as Celtic fans can come together and feel proud of our country's heroes and history.

'these heros arn't playing infront of you.' makes no sense. The Libon Lions aren't playing infront of us but we sing about them, The Irish Holocaust isn't taking place in front of me and we sing about that. And so on.

The songs have been sung at the football for years, that is why! Why stop now when it has become a tradition? I could understand your point if it just started this season or last season but it has been happening for ages. Football isn't a game for the easily offended.

It's not everyone a Celtic Park's country or heroes.

Why not honour the other two Celtic nations in song?

Was wondering when the "14 year old" stereotype would be trotted out :celt_2:

The majority of the Celtic support at Tynecastle would have been a lot older than 14, just as the majority of the support joiner in with the songs.

The songs are generally sung by older guys who know the score and who are well versed in Irish Republicanism. Not just by the stereotype which you like to portray.

I'd rather hear Lisbon Lions songs rather than IRA songs. At least they've done the club proud.
    IRA add ons do not.

The general attitude that is coming from this thread is be proud of your ethnicity in private but * forbid you do it in public or at an immigrant Irish football club.

No that's you just playing victim. Majority of the post that are disagreeing with you say there is nothing wrong with the rebel songs but it's the add ons that people disagree with.

It's really not hard to understand. You just like to argue,

That the point you made was nonsense. If we could only sing about what was infront of us games would be dull.

The guys upstairs know that alienating the support will harm the club much more than adhering to a unenforceable law. Look at the support the GB got at their protest against the criminalisation of our support, the board wouldn't dare ban people for singing songs that have been sung for years.
