Matthews and Mulgrew where superb, Wanyama was good when he got into the game. Maj was * rotten, I can see how Lennon has dropped him, no speed what so ever.

For the trialists Lancy's first touch was woeful, Mphena offered more, good header, there keeper made a great save, showed pace at times, id take them to Dublin, Pletikosa looked at fault for the free kick, but the sun was a *, don't think the wall was set up right.

    Hi,

Some of your lads have joined our forum (www.wolvesforum.co.uk), so I thought I would return in kind.

Thought it was a good run out for our, close to first team, and your second team. It was pretty clear that you are a couple of weeks ahead of us on the fitness side and had a fair bit of possession in the middle of both halves. It was good to see that Mulgrew has turned in to a decent player and I also thought both Matthews and Wanyama looked very promising.

It would be interesting to see how the two first teams got on against each other, when both teams were at full fitness. Looking at the two first eleven I would say they are pretty evenly matched.

Hi mate, welcome to the forum, completely agree with that :50: I think both of our first teams would be a very good game tbh, thought Hennessey (sp) had a good game for you lot and you look a solid side with some great flair, hopefully you stay up this year and boring sides like Stoke go down.

Does any one know the new songs that the green brigade were singing
Thought one of the songs they sang had hoopers name in it ( maybe mistaken though)

If you give us Hennesy, we'll give you Samaras. He's an international class player. Featured in World Cups, European Championships, even played in Europe.

    Deal?

If the 1st teams played it would be tight on an individual bases but i think our passing would be more fluid so i think we'd nick it.

Hey mate, welcome to the forum:50: Thought it was a very decent game but Wolves were a bit more clinical on the night. I think you're right, the two first-teams do look very evenly matched - excellent players on both sides. I think the Hoops would just edge it in the midfeild battle :icon_mrgreen: Matt Jarvis was missing tonight as well though, and I think he's a class act. Good luck foor next season, I think you will be fine.

Hennessey is a good keeper, he used to have a few problems coming off his line and dropping crosses, but he seems to have eradicated that a bit with age and having learnt a bit of Hahnemann. I can see one of the big boys coming in for him in the not to distant future.

    No, mate.

Ha, ha, the commentator made me laugh, with him saying you don't want to mess with Scott Brown and at the time George Elokobi was standing in front of him.

I'd love to know what Murphy is offering in training as he offers * all during matchtime. tonight only served to highlight he'll never make the first eleven.

And Samaras has the most well-conditioned hair you are ever likely to have the pleasure of laying eyes on.

Daryl Murphy should be somewhere plowing a field he's absolute pish!
he hardly won a ball all night

what chance do these trialists really have when he is their main target man to feed off of and the man whos supposed to be the muscle and knock the ball on from headers?

Midway through the second half Lacny was busting a gut to get into the box Murphy somehow found himself in space wide left all he needed to do was play a decent square ball with pace (similiar to Hoopers goal against the filth ) and the ball was on a plate and what did he do? a weak effort of a pass that went straight to the keeper who took off his socks and slapped the ball back to his feet! the mans an embaressment to the Hoops!

Hennessy is a great keeper - and I take the credit for it seeing as I used to knock balls past him for fun when we were little. Never thought he would end up the keeper he has - would love him for celtic now!!

wolves are pish but their better than any team we will face in the spl this year and i include rangers in that. good exercise thought mathews, mulgrew and forrest were excellent. brown and wanyama did ok as did cha but the two trialists up front were pish and i cant believe a club the size of celtic are dooing things this way. i take it our scouts havent been scouting strikers or goalkeepers these past few seasons or is it just that we are trying to do things on the cheep as usual someone is needing to tell lawell and the board that the winners of the league this season go straight into the champions league next season. I think we are 3 players away from being a very good team. new striker, centre half and goal keeper and we would be sorted cant believe we have to watch players like loovens, murphy, samaras and big maj total pish, with players like them in our team we will always have a week link.
