I don't actually watch or play Hockey, love the Playstation NHL games though.

American and Canadian sport teams generally don't have class/political affiliations attached to them. Maybe the Canadiens because they used to be committed to playing a certain way and won championships doing it, and are also a national symbol of Quebec.

Not really all of it, the Nordiques were the team for all the francophones in Quebec when they were around, and the main reason they were moved is that everything was in French (broadcasting, advertising, and the players needed to speak it) which also brought limited marketing potential.

happy to see the Habs are in good form, making a push for the playoffs though my other team Dallas seem to be pretty poor this season

 

2 shut outs in 2 nights for the Canadiens, 1-0 away to Deebo and 3-0 at home to buffalo looking good for the playoffs!!!! :icon_mrgreen:

 

Good to see my Red Wings qualify for the playoffs again after a not so go first half of the season. And here's to Jimmy Howard for Rookie of the Year!

I don't think channel 5 are showing them. ESPN and ESPN America have them on.

The Kings come from 2-0 down to take it to overtime and win 3-2 against the Canucks to tie the series 1-1. Playing in LA tonight so hopefully can get a win to put us 2-1 ahead in the series.
