ridiculous, should we avoid every player that has ever played well against us, or scored against us, oh what about the ones who have attemped to score?, or the ones that have tried to gruesomly injure our players by pulling their shirts?

infact i think we should avoid every player who hasnt just bent over and took it from celtic

Best post of the day. Perhaps if people looked at it as being the last match of the season, and Hearts have nothing to lose, why not go up the park for a corner?

Going by the logic on here, Scott Mcdonald must be a 'hun *' for scoring 2 against us on the last day of the season a few years back...

The whole corner thing was mentioned because he had the opportunity to do the same thing against rangers the following week (in a game that wasn't meaningless like the week before) and he refused to do it. That, to me, is the actions of a currant bun, or at least the actions of a man who obviously has some contempt for the 'Tic.

Anyway that's by the by because we won't be spending 4 million on anyone this summer nevermind an injury prone 'keeper.

I doubt you people that care about the corner incident acted the same towards Skippy (who actually lost us the league by scoring 2 against us and celebrating a lot in the process)

McDonald celebrating with a big smile on his face alongside Butcher the hun, all the while claiming to be a "diehard Tim", does stick in my craw.

Great post. However I would add one thing on, this should be subject to a very stringent medical.

Makes me laugh at some of the comments and so called reasons why we shouldnt go for him lol biggest wind up merchant off all time was the holy goalie. Is he good enough yes and if we could afford him and he can stear clear of injuries would he be a good signing yes and thats all that matters really

last year of contract. I think given the choice of nothing in a years time then 2-3 million might do the trick. Only problem is he is a great goalie, only 29 (resale value still decent in 3 years time) and sure to have some EPL clubs offering big wages. If he would drop down to our top wage bracket, it could happen and at his age he would be worth shelling our even 3 million for. I see wages as the big problem.

I'll be honest, the Scott McDonald one stuck in my throat for a long time too.

It's not the fact that he scored the 2 goals that bothered me, that was his job and he had to do it, it was the way he celebrated scoring them. You would think that if a guy who is a real Celtic supporter had just scored 2 goals to rob Celtic of the title he would keep the celebrations to an absolute minimum. McDonald didn't do that. He looked as though he actually enjoyed scoring those goals.

So yeah, it took me quite a while to forgive him for that.
