Crackin fight that .. like so many hyped British fighters though .. he struggled when he took a step up.

Loads of heart and clearly a decent chin, but does he have the class to be a world class fighter?

    Doubt it.

Wladimir Klitschko KO'd Tony Thompson in round 6 tonight. Meant to have been impressive but I was watching the Fury fight.

Klitschko battered the Yank to pieces. And usually all of the opponents of the brothers do unsportsmanlike things to them before the fight. Then get owned.

This fight with Chris Eubank's son is pretty good. The two of them are fairly going at it.

The highlights will probably be on youtube later. They seem to like their pre fight musicians before the Klitschko brothers fights.

Was a great fight ... cant stand him though... the same arrogance as his father :38:

He loses it and drops his guard.. he will be taken out because he lashes out and loses his composure

    Malignaggi calls out Hatton
    ESPN staff
    July 13, 2012«

Paulie Malignaggi has dangled the carrot of a shot at a world title to lure Ricky Hatton out of retirement.

Hatton has not fought since slipping into retirement following a brutal defeat at the hands of Manny Pacquiao in 2009, but reports have suggested he is tempted by a return to the ring.

There has been no direct comment from Hatton, but the rumours have found their way to Malignaggi who is eager to avenge his loss to Hatton from 2008. The New Yorker feels the lure of a shot at a world title could pull Hatton back into the ring and he is ready to put his WBA welterweight belt on the line.

"There are some rumours I am hearing about the return of Ricky Hatton," Malignaggi told Sky Sports News. "It is interesting. I did not believe it at first but I started to think 'wow' maybe there is a bit of truth about it. I am as curious as everybody else.

"Every time you get a chance to avenge a defeat it always something you want to do. I am 3-0 in rematches in my career so I'd love nothing more than to go 4-0 and get revenge on Ricky Hatton."

Malignaggi has respect for Hatton, but is convinced he has improved in the intervening four years.

"I would be interested," he said. "He has a good win over me, did a job on me, but I have made a lot of changes since then and have got a world title. I don't think he would come back for something small, there would be no point coming back if it wasn't big and I have that.

"I have got something he wants and he has something I want. He beat me and I want to avenge that defeat and defend a world title against Ricky Hatton."

Hatton out of retirment? Would need to do some serious training and Malignaggi would hammer him. Only got the carrot of one last payday to dangle infront of him.

Last time I seen Hatton on TV, he looked out of shape and I hope he only agrees to this if he is hungry for it and trains hard. There is nothing worse than seeing a good fighter return after his peak and being easily defeated because they have lost their sharpness or motivation.

100% agree Alba. Hatton wasn't as good as folk made him out to be but I wouldn't want to see him reduced to fodder for opponents.
