Magic has ability, there is no doubting that. I'd be more inclined to give him a chance than Miller.

Miller is an athlete, nothing more. If that's what were after we can go sign a runner!

Riordan must be given a run of games, Beattie needs to prove that he can stay fit for five minutes, then we talk about him being good enough to be a fisture in the side.

 

magic ma be our highest scoring striker but doesnt mean hes our best he needs to step up big time and miller is class when hes on form and running all around the pitch he just needs to have the same spirit all the time and start scoring! beatties not looking to bad up front when he came on against heart he made the game spark! and set up the goal!

 

WHat I said recently about JJ apllies equally to Magic. A simple goals tally does not tell you what goals were not scored because of the liability Magic is for most of the game or the goals we conceded because we were effectively playing with 10 men. Goals tallies are too simplistic. Also, Millers goals have come against far better opposition on average than Magic's and I see the JVOH/ Miller partnership as perfect for tough CL games. We need to run that partnership until the Milan game so they have an understanding by then.

 

No they're not. It's mid-January and Kenny Miller has scored 2 SPL goals. That is *. End of story.

 

lol We will never agree on this one. I just think the team as a whole looks a lot better and dynamic when Miller plays than when Magic does and I am failry sure it is more successfull. There is a stato challenge for the determined Miller v Magic debators. The only reason why I am defending Miller is that it is relative to Magic. I could accept Beattie playing instead because he looks to be hitting form and he also adds dynamism and pace. This season Magic just depresses me.

 

I am not defending Magic, who has been dismal this season as well. But your constant banging the drum about Miller is incredible.

That I find harder to disagree with. They are both only half of a really good player except on the very rare occasions when they are fully functioning. So. yes we could do with another striker but I dont see us getting a top class one in before the summer and I think at least one of Magic or Miller will have to agree to go first-IMO Magic (for several reason more likely).

What? We can't combine the two into one decent player. It's clear that WGS is in the market for a new striker. Thankfully he can see what I see. First he wanted Stokes and then he bid for Lafferty.

He knows that we need a striker who can put that round white thing into the big net thingy. Remember that Kenny.....that's your job.

In the short term I would rather play Beattie or Riordan than either of the other 2. And Riordan isn't even an out and out striker. But his record of 60 goals over 3 years for Hibs suggests he'd be more productive anyway.

I could live with that. Anything but Magic. He is just the one forward that actually depresses me. It just like there is a mini cloud raining on his head and it is catching. Anyway, I am signing off of the Magic bashing as the dissenters are dwindling these days as each week passes and its depressing talking about him.

 

That's funny, coz I'm just embarking on a serious bout of Miller bashing. He'll be getting it in the neck at every opportunity until he embarks on a 10 game scoring streak.

That's the most sensible thing I've heard in a while. Well, it would be if our other strikers, Beattie and JVoH, wern't always injured. So actually, it wasn't a good idea at all

 

I think he means replace them with better players.
