It's all a bit shortsighted. Let's say we get rid of Zurawski and then lo and behold Beattie * up his hamstring again. So then the only alternative is Miller.Bearing in mind JVOH injury problems it doesn't leave us much. Last season when Magic was top goalscorer the service from midfield was so much better, a striker is only as good as the service he gets.

We need to sign a quality striker and then see who we can move on. Preferably Miller (who I don't think is prepared to move on) or then Zurawski who would probably bring in more money. Beatties injuries are a worry but IMO he deserves a chance with us.

Zurawski is doing alright, Miller is much worse. Dunno how a thread like this starts up when we have a striker like Miller, pure *

i hope its a world cup hangover but then again just look at nakamura..

i'd keep him.. he doesnt create chances for himself but his conversion % isnt anything like beattie or millers which is 9% by the way i think.

I don't rate Miller either. The problem is he came back to Scotland to be nearer his daughter who lives with his ex missus in Central Scotland. Can't see Rangers going for him and I can't see him go to another Scottish club and take the wage cut. So I think we are stuck with him. Zurawski is a better player, although he doesn't impress me either, and it might mean that he is the one who could be sold.

I am sick of hearing Miller is just raw effort. He is amazing at dispossesing opposition defenders, he is excellent at getting the ball, he is pretty good at high speed linking with teammates, twisting and turning and basically forces defenders to play deep as they would not have a hope in * of catching him. Granted he is far from a natural finisher but he plays a big role in wearing down teams, getting the ball and linking up. At the very start of the season and in his very last start his touch was poor but in between his touch and ability to get the ball in lost-cause situations down the flanks made him a real team asset. He is also a big game player and is one of the very best at playing on the break against superior opposition.

Magic (forget his two against Dumbarton) has only scored a few more goals but contributes nothing in comparison in out field play. When he does not score his contribution is small. If Magic was a goals machine then my case would be weak but seeing he has only scored a few more goals than Kenny this does not give him the edge. Would love to see Kenny and JVOH together FOR THIS REASON: a defender would want to play JVOH as high up the pitch as possible but would want to play Kenny as deep as possible cause of his mad pace. That combination would be very hard to defend against. Personally, I dont think Magic will start the next game but it may be Beattie not Miller. I like Beattie too so I would be happy enough with that. But please no more Magic.

He is more than effort. Not many (except a few serious world class players) would have any better control than Kenny at the speed he travels at. Its a tricky skill to run at 80mph with the ball at you feet and Kenny does well. I still think it could click for him with JVOH and be a simply awesome partnership. I hope this is put to the test over a few games. But agree he wil have to find the ability to put away at least twice as many of the clear chances he gets and score at least 15 or so a season to be a Celtic striker. I think with JVOH he could.

And I am sick of hearing how Magic is worse than Miller when he has scred almost 3 times more goals! Miller is USELESS! He cannot score and that's his role on the pitch, if Gordon would have wanted another midfileder on the pitch he'd have used Jarosik or summat. Kenny and JVOH have played together and the only one who came out shinng was JVOH with Miller's only good game beside him coming against the huns. It's clear to me than running around like an idiot and wasting everything players work hard to offer you is appreciated by some. He can't even pass (last 5-6 games). Some people have started this vendetta against Magic for some reason (just like with BBJ) and I can't understand why when Miller is just miles crapper and more useless. He can't even score a * penalty, he CANNOT score. Magic's been getting terrible service and he doesn't have Jan's and BBj's instinct of showing up at the right place, at the right time to poke away chances. Mille can disposses Bush of the presidency for all I care, as long as he's got a scoring record worse than Darren O'Dea's (!!!!). Magic's form may be as bad as Millers but he SCORES. We've got enough hard workers and runners in the team, what we need upfront are PREDATORS, oportunistic people who can score goals and can play crap but score goals. Miller plays well at times but can't score and that IS THE BOTTOM LINE!

I am not a fan of Magic either. If we could make one player out of the two of them we'd be laughing. For me Beattie deserves a run and Miller is bench material good for the last 15 minutes if we are hanging on and we don't have much posession because then he can do the things he is good at.

Personally I think we have the wrong strikers for the type of game we play. When was the last time we played balls into feet, defence splitting balls from central mid. Most of our chances are created from the wings and I for one would like to see a bit of variety. Last season we had that with Petrov playing one twos on the edge of the box, sadly it seems to be missing this season.

Magic is not doing it this season, and doesnt contribute enough in the big games....Remember Millars assists stats are the highest in the SPL (assists create goals) and scored 3 of our 8 CL goals.. I know hes not setting the heather on fire, but if we were playing away from home in the CL , he would be my first choice... but time maybe running out for both perhaps.. I think WGS has still to find the best combination, only time will tell.

Arguably John Hartson last season was the exact opposite player to Miller this season.

Would you take the 20 goal but low work rate player or the high work rate and * all goals?

Perhaps he should run a bit slower! Phone Strachan we may have saved him £3m!
