Lennon Calls For An End To Offensive Chanting

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by VerdeBlanco, May 17, 2011.

  1. Yes I did say that

    No I didn't say that

I don't know what you want me to respond to here. You kinda just repeated my post, but interpreted some parts how you wanted to.

I'm sure you can put it all to 1 side for 90 minutes every week. If you want to be some sort of heroic rebel then feel free to do so, but do it somewhere where that stuff is welcome.

And the majority of the match going Celtic support want said songs off the songsheet...

  2. spot on :50:

Funny you never meet any of these fellow tims that are so embarssed of us singing rebel songs isnt it :87:

  3. If the majority of fans dont want to sing rebel songs then they can start singing the songs they classify as respectable enough ..& then we are all happy :50:

  4. I know tis strange that.:87:

  5. :56:

  6. Oh please. Are you seriously hinting that Celtic fans who don't sing IRA songs are lesser fans?

If only... but you know the majority of CP aren't a vocal lot

  7. Graffiti on the Walls goes a whole lot quieter when it comes to a certain part of the song

    :56: No.

  8. 99% of the our fans that attended the Hearts game were singing these sinister songs you speaks.:56:

  9. I'm not some sort of mind reader. If you put down that in text then it's pretty ambiguous and open to interpretation. My second guess would be that you're implying the people that don't want political songs sung at parkhead are shitbags. Correct?

  10. And 90% weren't at the motherwell game. Tell me, a crowd of 50,000 and a crowd of 8,000 - which is the majority? You know away games are totally different from home games.

  11. Ive saw a few people on here saying they dont like the add-ons to the song... forgetting that they arent add ons... thats the way the song was originally wrote by the Wolfe Tones...it should be sung as it is originally intended!

oh & its not graffiti on the walls its The Celtic Symphony :50:

  12. And by the way I'm going to add the laughing smiley to th end of all of my posts now. Apparently it makes the argument more plausible, stronger or whatever. :56:

  13. :56: No. Im suggesting that. I haven't met any tims that complain about what we sing.

  14. Yeah the away support are the hardcore.. must be the home supporters that leave 20 minutes early & sit on there hands all game that dont like the rebels thats my guess... its the hardcore Celtic support that are the heartbeat of the club..the same one that kept us going during the dark days of the 90s...didnt hear any of our fans complaing about the Rebel songs then & that was when the IRA were still very active.

  15. nah forget about the smileys..try getting your facts right would be a start

  16. I didn't mention add ons in Graffiti on the Walls in particular, but regardless that part of the song needn't be sung at parkhead. At a Wolfetones concert? Sure. But Parkhead? No thanks.

:frilly: You knew which song I was talking about, no?

    :56:

  17. The away fans represent the hardcore of our fanbase. In my opinion. The hardcore of our fanbase sing rebel songs. Thats all im saying.:50::56: :56: :56: :56: :56: :56:

  18. Would it make a difference if we did? No. We'd both end up getting chucked out by stewards. :56:

  19. yeah but no thanks to you getting your facts wrong..thats to my credit not yours!
