I don't think so mate, cause remember Huns were saying that murderwell wanted us to win the league so that the euro place would drop to the runner up of the cup. I THINK that was the case.

We've beaten most at home in recent season and I think the manky mob beat Porto recently which gives us no reason to fear them, these are teams that have been built in recent seasons and will probably be stripped bare in the summer there is no reason with a couple of quality signings we can be given these teams a challenge just need to get this european away game monkey of our back, but I think Lenny will be playing 4-5-1 or 5-4-1 in these games so expect a few 0-0 or 1-1, but remember even with Larrson we still fell short. One bad game at the Tulloch doesn't make us a bad team even the seville team got beat up there. Plus maybe meeting the manky mob in a later round would give us all the incentive we need.

No because we take the cup winners place and it gets moved to 4th in the league, only if we had the Champions league we wouldn't need it.

    yeah, i forgot about that.

so it will be us, hearts, dundee united and possibly r*ngers in the europa league

celtic go straight into the play offs (if we win the scottish cup)
hearts will go into the 3rd qualifying round (2nd qualifying round if we dont win the scottish cup)
dundee united will go into the 2nd qualifying round (only if we win the scottish cup)
motherwell will go into the play offs if they somehow beat us in the scottish cup
r*ngers will go into the play offs if they lose their 3rd round champions league qualifier

i think i have got that right.

We better hope we are seeded because if not we could be playing against teams finishing 4th/5th/6th in the big leagues

People must be daft if they think we're close to the quality Porto have when you look at some of their players. Falçao and Hulk to name a few.

im actually starting to think we overrate some of our players, when i look at some of the teams in the europa league, they look much more accomplished on the ball

It's hard to tell just now mate until the leagues are over and the domestic cups are done, also it's hard to tell until the other qualifying rounds are done to see what teams progress.

It's a harder route to the europa league than the huns have to the champions league this season. Huns can only get teams like: HJK Helsinki, Ekranas, Zestafoni, Malmo FF, Wisla Krakow, Genk etc. Where as we can get drawn teams like Stoke, Mainz, Hapoel, Anderlecht, Birmingham, etc. All depends on seeding and the coefficients though and who progresses from the earlier qualifying rounds.

We wont get an easy draw , if there are 3 teams out that lot we would like to avoid we will end up drawing them thats a cert ! But on the bright side if we can beat a Roma ect it will give us a great platform to build on for next season! We have to play those teams at some point anyway, just hope Neil gets the boys in pre-season early , too often are we under prepared for these early European Qualifiers

season starts earlier mate so we should be more than ready for the qualifiers. Season starts end of july, qualifiers for us (counting on winning the scottish cup) aren't until the end of august, so fingers crossed.

    Spot on.
Thats been our undoing the last few season's,going straight into the big games was never going to be easy, especially against the likes of Arsenal.
Ive got a really good feeling about Europe this year, got a squad with a good backbone,a few more additions and we should give anybody a good game.:50:

We beat Braga, who got to the final last night..
in the second leg with this team:

    Forster

    Cha Loovens Hooiveld Mulgrew

    Juarez Brown Ledley Maloney

    Samaras Hooper

That team was seriously lacking experience...

Now we have the likes of Kayal, Izaguirre and Commons and a team who have been playing really good football.

I think we can go far in the Europa League.
