    That's Spurs ,Villa.Blackburn now .

Heard something that Martin Ferguson head Man Utd scout was at the Dundee Utd game watching him.

I actually think Ki would excell in a 5 man midfield normally, assuming we get the lineup right, which we certainly didn't against Sion.

Commons on the right doesn't work, and Brown in the middle doesn't work, I still can't get my head around Lenny's tactics.

But say a 4-3-2-1 with a midfield of

    ------Kayal----Ledley
    ------------Ki
    Forrest-------------Commons

    or 4-3-1-2

    ---Ki---Kayal---Ledley
    ------Commons

If we a had a better lone striker than Samaras I think the first one would be fantastic, switching Forrest for Maloney, McCourt, whoever's your preference, the second one with hooper and stokes obviously.

You may be right, but in the game on Wednesday there was no need to change it. We were at home, we were looking to win the game, and we were the better side. We had just beaten Utd 5.1 playing an attacking formation and for whatever reason Lennon changed it. He may have given FC Sion too much respect. For me they looked very average and they will be delighted with the score.

Sammy isnt capable of playing the lone striker role in a 451 set up. He is too unpredictable, not strong enough and is incapable of holding play up and linking midfield. Which is effectively what happened last night.

Other than the Orcs game, which now appears to have been a complete one off, he hasnt filled this role in any game he has played. And as a result, it affected our more creative players who were all stifled to accomodate him.

Not blaming Sammy, Neil got this wrong.

What would silly money be Prof? £10m?

We need to bear in mind that with the new UEFA Financial Fair Play, transfer fees will probably not be as crazy as they have been over the last 5/10 seasons. Do we hold onto him for another couple of seasons or cash in when the price we get him for him is at a premium.

My concern if we did cash in is whether this miserable board would allow Neil to re invest.

Yes that would be a worry tbh, as for a value i would say 8 mil or above would be difficult to turn down.

I would not sell him for a penny under £12m he is by far the best player we have hope he stays here for many years to come but i think this might be his last season if he keeps on playing the way he has so far.:54:

Ki is one of the best players we've had in years and he should be the first name on the teamsheet, by far our most skilful and creative player in middle of the park

i think Ki will be sold shortly, it looking that way to me, there are too many scouts circling the camp just now, and to be honest he is at the moment the only player to have a value at this present time. there doesn't seem to be any replacement lined up, and that is a worry, as the right hand side of the park is thin on quality players.

We should never sell him and all the people on here who slagged him should be hanging their heads in shame

If a decent offer comes in, and by that I mean £10m+ Ki will be sold. That is a near certainty. Given the joyful glee that our board announced how much debt they have cut they would not turn down that much money for Ki.

The centre of the park is well stocked with midfielders that can play in there. Ledley, Kayal, Scott Brown and even Wanyama we are told can play there.

I dont believe he is the only player with a value - Kayal, Ledley, Hooper and even Stokes are players that we could probably sell on and have plenty of takers. The problem then would be that we are left with the squad players we are trying to offload.

How is the right hand side thin on quality players? Forrest, Commons, Maloney, Brown, McCourt are all players that can play there. Unless you mean Bellamy type quality, which our board doesnt appear to be looking to pay for. And Ki doenst play on the right hand side anyway.

In my opinion we have one of the best young midfielders in the UK and we should build our team around him and Kayal ,Kelvin,Stokes and Hooper

I really hope we don't sell him, he's only 22, is already an immense player for us and is improving consistently.

I think he'll go on to properly great things, won't be surprised if he picks up a europa or champions league medal later in his career.

We have to keep hold of him as long as we can.

Ki and Kayal are the best and most valuable players in the whole squad.

Ideally we could build a team around Ki. Throw him in that "number 6" role (Xavi, Sahin) and play ridiculous possesion football. However that would be nearly impossible in some of our away games :31:

The lad does have aspirations of playing in the Premiership, but he will be here for the rest of the season and possibly next season. He's got 2 years on his contract so unless he signs a new deal this season I'd sell him end of the season. Only if we got a good price of course.
Personally, going by his amazing step up in form I'd love to see him stay for a long time. But I believe he is destined for bigger and better.
