I'd argue that the Old Firm get more time on the ball due to the defensive, stand-off approach the vast majority of teams we play in this league deploy.

But I feel your main bit is such a pointless point to make. I'm not bad at passing, and when I'm not playing a game, I am pretty much ball-to-feet passing from various distances. So, by your logic, I'd be up there with one of the best passers in the country?

I'm almost certain most good footballers can ping the ball about with accuracy in non-match situations from various parts of the pitch if they wanted

    And there it is.

When your estimations are that high for a guy who's had a decent purple patch: that's going to make me veto all your opinions on football matters.

Kayal must be worth £25m if that's the case for Ki!

liam is right. look at the prices that average players in england are going for. we dont need to sell anyone, especially our key players. if a bid of £15m came in for kayal tomorrow id reject it.

Celtic wouldn't KB a 10million offer for him never mind 15million.

That money would fill the void of our lack of transfers.

Need i point you towards talentless jordan henderson 20 mill for an average player and he really is average. If a bid of 8-10 mil came in for any of our midfielders then it would be accepted, although if a player like Ki for example went for 8 mill i can guarantee his next transfer would be far higher.

but so would the winning the league and getting the european money, and then the league the next year, and all the increased attendances that better players bring to celtic.

weve set up a scouting network finding the best players in honduras, isreal and south korea. why should we sell the players that the rich clubs canny find when we dont need to?

But we don't have any of the above in your first paragraph which vetoes your second paragraph.

got to remember the running costs of celtic are huge and the gate monies onlly cover about 80% of the income needed to run a club the size of celtic. and without cl money coming in youve got to sell assets for a higher profit. as clinical as it sounds cfc are a buisness and to directors of that buisness there main job is to make sure that celtic are a profitable concern. there is a very very fine line between sucsess on the park and sucsess of the park. so if the board decide to sell on izzy,ki or kayal its not a question of lack of ambition for the team but a financial decision. cos the worst case senario is been shown to us by that mob over in govan. and * help us if we end up in the same financial mess as that mob

Anderson signed for Man Utd for £27m (or thereabouts). If Utd can splash that on a player like Anderson I see no reason why Ki can't go for £15m+

The exact same thing as I did before, he has quality but doesn't show it enough.

No one is happier than me for him to add consistency to his game.

i know we dont, but if we sell our best players then we never will. we keep our best players fit then we will have the league, the european money etc.

Ki's played 4-5 decent games and scored 3-4 goals. RELAX.

But if we sell one of our assets for, say, 10 million, then that money, like McGeady's dough, will be ploughed back into the squad and probably strengthen the rest of the team.

the epl transfer market is running out of control and dosnt reflect the true value of players so if celtic are considering selling ki just think of a huge figure and double it :56:

i doubt it would. it would be used to pay off some debt, those new fancy sprinklers and all the new seats. not all of it would be put into the team. id think only half, at most, would be available to lennon.

Where is the extra revenue that Ki brings to the club? I have no doubt he raises our profile in Asia, but I dont see where this massive extra money that having him comes from? Our debt has been increasing over the last few seasons whilst he has been here. Our turnover during this period has been consistent with what we were operating at before he came, so I dont get it. As I said, I see he raises our profile but that doesnt equate to income for us.

IMO he's been outstanding in far more than 4-5 games. I don't like to boast but I've backed him from day 1 so I'm happy to see the majority of posters are starting to see his quality too.

In my estimation, Ki is worth around £10m. All I'm saying is that if an EPL side comes in for him, we can rightfully demand a lot more than that. The EPL market is crazy at the moment. We don't need to sell him - we are in a strong position to demand a high fee.

    Not according to Porto's books.
