I think in terms of having a full range of passing, Ki is as good or better than all of them. Fabregas, Nasri, Modric, Silva, VDV and RVP are brilliant players, and phenomenal at little through balls, picking intricate passes, stuff like that, but do you think any of them could hit a 70 yard diagonal bullet with the same accuracy as Ki? I don't. Ki has a fuller range of passing than those guys, Gerrard and Lampard are easier to compare, and in terms of just passing, I think Ki is better than both of them too.

As I said, in terms of just passing, nothing else, I think the only person with near the skillset of Ki is Tom Huddlestone. Either one of them could land it on a ten pence piece from anywhere inside sixty or seventy yards.

you do realise we are talking about world cup winners, WC runners up, guys that are going for £35 million, guys that are wanted by some of the best clubs in the world.

ki hasnt even played in the CL, he is playing against the likes of inverness and kilmarnock etc. he is a fantastic passer, but not the best all rounder in britain.

It doesn't make any difference the level, a good pass is a good pass. I'm not talking about or disputing any of those players ability, or achievements, what I am saying is, say for example, in a passing drill, something like putting a marker on the ground and all of them getting a few goes to hit it from a set distance, or a range of distances, Ki would do the best in my opinion. In terms of intricate passing in and around the box I think there are people like Fabregas who are slightly better, but for overall passing, Ki for me is number one.

Seeing as you're a Neutral Milk Hotel fan, I'll spare you a roasting!

But come on! Ki's pinging balls over Ross Tokely, Darren Dods, Jamie Langfield and other really poor players. It's NOWHERE near the same standard as the EPL.

The comparisons you're making are laughable.

But it does make a difference. Better players are just that: better. They would probably have shut Ki down before he even thought about making the pass.

    Again, the comparison is void.

Fair enough, I take your point on board but I disagree. In fact, I'd argue that players in the SPL, particularly Celtic and Rangers players get less time on the ball (less time to 'think about making the pass') than they would in the EPL.

I think you're confusing what I'm saying, whilst Ki is obviously not the best central midfielder in the UK, in terms of passing alone, not even necessarily in a match situation, I think he is the best. Think about it like this, if someone could hit 500 yards in the driving range accurately, he'd be the best driver in the world, but not necessarily the best all round player.

Well in all fairness to Ki, players he is passing to is of different quality too. For example passing to stokes in comparison to Drogba....

If he continues to develop over the next year or two then we will really struggle to keep hold of him, but its the same as most of our midfield we will struggle to keep hold of a few of them once they prove themselves in europe.

Secondly he has proved himself at international level against the best playing for South Korea, MOTM performances against Argentina and the likes so its not as if he has just played against ross tokely, he has pitted himself against much better players in the world cup and asian cup.

Agree with evilbunny. Good to see him show a bit more consistency, only 3 games in though. Hopefully he will give us a full season at the same level. Great to see us have Ledley, Kayal and Ki all pushing each other for the CM positions.

Ki was excellent yesterday, although I'm a bit gutted today at the reports of £8million being slapped on him as Aston Villa are apparently interested.

I wouldn't sell his right leg for £8M.

Genuinely, I don't think we should accept any less than £15M for Ki, Kayal, Izzy, Hooper etc. We don't need to sell them so why should we accept low offers from England. If a £15M offer came in for Ki and he was happy to stay I'd probably still reject it. What will happen if he goes is we will sell him for 8 or whatever and in about two years he'll sign for Man United or somebody like that for about 30.

With no CL money and in debt we are going to have to sell players at some point. Part of our policy, as stated by the club is to buy promising young players in with a sell on value.

Ki, Kayal etc. And when they are linked with big money clubs we get all defensive about keeping them.

£15m isnt gonna happen for any SPL player, however, £10m would be great business and allow Neil to strengthen elsewhere.

As I have said though, am more than happy for Ki or any of our better players to stay, but as with McGeady everyone can be replaced.

I honestly wouldn't sell Ki if a £10M bid came in.

He's going to be worth more than that, if he's not already.

You have to consider the revenue he brings in as well.
