Massive blow, Joe Ledley is such a key player in our Celtic team. Losing him will be a big loss tomorrow that is for sure. But I have faith in Brown and Kayal being in the central midfield position with Commons and Maloney/Forrest being out on the wide side of the midfield. No matter what we have better midfielders than they do.

We'll miss him. Why do we always get the injuries at the worst time?

Yes he will be missed, but it is a chance for someone out of the starting 11 to step up to the challenge.

will be missed, he really enjoys the Rangers games

maybe bring Ki back in then?

Brown-Ki-Kayal-Commons? either that or play Commons behind a lone striker and put Forrest, Maloney or even Mulgrew on the left?

if we win the midfield battle odds are we would win so perhaps 5 in the middle is the way to go?

Celtic midfielder Joe Ledley will miss the Old Firm game against Rangers at Ibrox on Sunday with a hamstring injury.

Defender Glenn Loovens is in contention, however, after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Midfielder Shaun Maloney (thigh) is a doubt while defender Cha Du-ri is still sidelined with an ankle injury.

Lee McCulloch is unlikely to have any part to play for Rangers.

The midfielder had hoped to make his comeback this weekend following knee surgery but the clash at Ibrox looks set to come too soon.

Jamie Ness is also rated doubtful, after being forced out of last week's win over St Mirren late on with cramp, but has been given more of a chance of facing Celtic than McCulloch

Brown-Ki-Kayal-Commons is a strong enough mid to play Stokes & Hooper i'd say

Not good news if confirmed. Ki needs to play a big part if he is picked to prove his worth.

Gutted but surely we have better and more tenacious players to make a mockery of this very poor Rangers midfield.

Ledley is underrated if you ask me. I've seen him getting some stick on here and on other forums in the past, but if you step back and think about it, the guy has not put a foot wrong since coming here.

I know he's getting some more positive recognition recently for his performances than he was in his first few months here, but we are going to miss him in the midfield battle tomorrow.

However, I have faith in Lennon and am confident that he knows what he's doing, even if his mind will be on other things as well as the game :shamrock:

Hadn't thought of that, could be a good move if he's fit enough

It is a blow, but we have a strong squad - and in the midfield department, very strong.

We can handle this in a way Rangers simply can not.
