Apparently folk were singing the "Cheer up Walter Smith" song.

Don't get me wrong I love belting that one out when we're humping the huns but singing that tonight, along with JCGE, stuff about huns and royal weddings etc etc, is a complete * riddy.

    Embarassing :54:

I was surprised at the amount of people who DIDN'T have candles. A guy was getting interviewed and they kept singing.

Disappointing if this has been hijacked by a drunken minority for their own ends. I felt that this was a bad idea in the first place. The applause at the 18th minute would have sufficed.

    Bad bad bad.

This was started with the best intentions, but these things always find a way of backfiring. I applaud the majority of those who turned up and agree with the sentiment. To those who went with a carry out and embarrassed the club, hang your heads in shame.

Well that's where I would disagree with that particular banner.

It's a mixture of both sectarianism and anti-Irish racism.

Im all for a free ireland and promoting that wherever and whenever i can BUT theres a time and a * place the media will have a * field day tomorrow.

Turned up with my candles and kept them in my pocket thats how bad this was and once again people climbing all over the statues .

Was all for going if I didn't have to work tonight. Credit to the bhoys and ghirls who turned up. Shame a fair few forgot what it was about though.

To be honest, is the turn out and why so many folk got together on their Thursday night not the main point??

lets not try and take all the negatives out of this.....
