I wouldn't really put much between them overall, Ki had a decent first half to the season before he left for Asia, and Brown's had a few really good games since new year after he moved out from the middle of the park and has to take less responsibility in our overall play.

brown has had a handful of good games since new years, ki carried us the firs hallf of the season, many people on here have only short term memory and forget that

i would like to know where this myth that Ki carried us the first-half of the season was dreamed up......what was the likes of Hooper, Izaguirre etc doing whilst the Mighty Kirrard was single-handedly beating teams?

My memory is fine, and I certainly have no recollection of that happening....must have been flashy-thinged by Will Smith:97:

He didn't carry us, that's a bit of an overstatement, but for a period when the team wasn't really gelling and we were occasionally all over the place, going back as far as the first game against Rangers, Ki was easily one of our better individual performers.

Still wouldn't break up the midfield for him now though just to see if he can get back to that level, Kayal and Ledley are working as a partnership and should remain first choice until injury or some major * ups happen, Ki has to wait for his chance again.

ki hasnt carried the team, he can barely carry himself at the moment. brown is one of our most important players and stats have proven that we do better with him than without him.

if you argue that ki has been better then you are wrong. simple as that.

i beg to differ because for a good amount of the first half of the season maloney was pivotal while the team were gelling together, i wouldnt like to see what our league position would be now if we didnt have him at all where the same cant be said for ki.

Remember he only had a week and a half off in the Summer, he's been travelling back and fourth to Korea for a year and a half. Guaranteed if he plays tomorrow and has a great game (which for the majority of this season he has) all Ki haters will be saying 'I knew he'd come good, he's got such good potential" in January he was worth 20m wasn't he Ki haters?

Hooper was injured for a long time and Izzy was doing great at the back but Ki was really carrying us. He is 20 times better than brown

I'll have some of what you are smoking please :56:
When Ki gets within a sniff of Brown's record then please revisit
us.

" Scott Brown has played in 17 league games for Celtic this season...We have won 16 and lost one, He was not playing when we lost 3-1 to Rangers, He did not play in the 2-0 loss at Tynecastle,He did not play in the 1-1 draw at Hamilton and he did not play against ICT,Dundee Utd and Kilmarnock when we drew with all 3 teams in December.14 Points dropped when he's not in the team , The facts speak for themselves. "

I'm not a fan of Eremenko. It would be like replacing Ki with Ki, no thank you.

DV you are so selective and ignorant with your statistics its unreal. You are like a right wing politician. You might be right on giving these statistics in support for brown, but in previous threads you made up bullshit about Ki. also you started a thread "sell Cha". do you know we havnt lost a league game this season that Cha has started in?

* those Brown statistics do my nut in, please please PLEASE stop with that crap, they don't tell half the story, like how many of those games did he actively contribute to the victory, and how many games did he play * but we still won anyway (we've witnessed plenty of those in his time at the club) but you still attribute the success to him simply because he was there.

There are ten other players in the team, do you honestly think that just by virtue of being on the park that wild defensive blunders that cost us goals wouldn't have happened, or in games where strikers are misfiring they would have magically hit the target, pull your head out of the sand and Broony's *.

It's not even that I don't like Brown, I've said over and over again recently that he's come onto a game since new year, but you're just giving him far too much credit and belittling all our other players contributions by making out like it's all down to him. He's nowhere near our best player.

I would replace Ki with a more combative player who can cut it in the SPL, and who would be able to fill in when either Brown or Kayal were injured or suspended.Ledley or Maloney can play the creative role better than Ki I think anyway.

I would go for someone like Ian Black to replace Ki.

I signed Ian Black for Football Manager 2011 on the iPhone...

He was *. Don't know how much it reflects his real life standing, but best not to take the risk.

Aw man, you almost had me supporting you there and then right at the end you went and blew it. :56:

You want us to sign Craig Thomson, Marius Zaliukas and Ian Black. You have to give this Hearts fetish up mate, their players aren't that good. Not good enough for Celtic anyway. The only player I'd take from Hearts is Lee Wallace but we don't even need him while we have Izaguirre.
