so, your view? personally i think he can go * himself, a negative from the start *, 'aw i dont have this' 'aw i need this' 'aw gees money for being a failure'

whats your views on him? i think he should take it on the chin and * off and i'd go as far to say that i'd boo * out him if he walked onto the park next week.

I think he's irrelevant.. Goes in the same cateogry of manager as Brady , Barnes and Macari.. His time here is best forgotten about..

Total *, and like Paddy, that's not based on his latest outburst. My mind was completely made up as I stood in the stand at St. Mirren watching us get our * handed to us.

The worst manager in our history.

Before my time as a player, yeah great he loved the club bla bla bla.

But as a manager, he had a funny way of showing it. Always moaning to the media, I need time I need money, "that's football" "take it on the chin, move on", enough excuses.

He came, he tried something, it didn't work. Goodbye and good luck.

As a player - great, manager - hate the guy. He just about destroyed us, and at the time I really wondered how we would ever come back from that. He was then happy to walk with a massive pay-out til he got the Middlesborough job.

It's hard to like him after last season but he didn't deliberately make us *. It didn't work for him here but I've no bad feelings towards the man, he tried and he failed. He does have an affinity with the club and I wish him all the best in the future.

Plus, he had to follow in the footsteps of two consecutively successful managers who were mostly loved by the fans. Was never going to be an easy task for him here.

Good balanced post. How I feel. I was always behind him when some people weren't. I thought he meant well. I don't agree with getting all personal towards him as that achieves nothing. He could have walked or left earlier, but he stuck it right out further into the mess- which probably did him no favours.

I blame the board, they hired a man who got his club relegated, not the smartest move.

I remember him stopping to sign autographs for people when he was going through the hardship of losing his wife at the time. Always seemed like one of the good guys in football. As for his management ability, that's a whole different matter

He should have been sacked on the spot after Edu scored that last minute winner against us.

Like you, I actually backed him more than most tbh and was gutted at the way it ended up. With hindsight though he should never have been hired in the first place, hiring a guy who finished 20 out of 20 the previous season was absolute madness. Many Celtic fans, myself included, got way too caught up in the romanticism of it all - a "Celtic minded" manager coming in and having us play good football after years of substandard football whilst also leading us to success.

Aye his WBA team played good football, but it did nothing for them. Psychologically as you say, appointing a manager from a relegated team means it will be harder for him and easier for fans to get on his back quicker. But that wouldn't have happened if things were better in terms of the league table.

Never again. He ran us into the ground, he had no passion for us considering 'celtic minded' treated staff like * - lenny. Hasnt got the guts to manage a club like ours.

when he first came it looked good then it went downhill,i personally believe there are people inside celtic park with too much of a say in team matters.at end of the day mowbray was shambolic when i believed he would become the perfect celtic manager
