everyone is saying that artur boruc is the best goalie we have had in a long time. but when have we had a better goalie? he is still young and will get better. and for everybody who is saying that he is on a long contract and that we wont let him go. two words... Stilian Petrov. If a player wants to leave, Celtic wont keep him.

Every goalkeeper in thw world has bad gams and makes mistakes every now and then. IMO Boruc has provin himself at the top level to be a top level goalkeeper, the world cup with Poland and Champions League with Celtic.:50:

Fantastic goalkeeper if you ask me:shamrock:

IMO Boruc is a very good goalie. Gordon is a fraction better but there is not enough of a difference to pay the sort of money out that we would need to to compete with English bidders. Very low priority compared to the need for a centre back, full back cover and maybe a creative/ box-to-box central midfielder (if Grav does not eventually shine) and a back-up big striker for JVOH.

Artur deserves a shot at the big time in my opinion he is easily the best keeper in the spl.

The Spl doesn't really challenge him enough

Cech, Buffon, Dida, Casillas, Given - Boruc is in no way better than any of them so top 5 is out of question. Then come Van der Sar, Lehman, Reina... top 10 you say? I highly doubt it.

Van der Sar and Lehman short before retirement!!!

Boruc is in the top 10 mate, without a doubt!!!

spl is no place for a keeper of artur boruc's quality to be wasting away.

Champions league is only good if you have ambitions of doing something in it.The impression i get from strachan is that he is happy just to settle for the last 16.

look at the likes of fenarbache, olympiakos anderlecht these teams are in the champions league but are just there really to make up the numbers, hardly go there to have the big-time champions league times they get humped year in year out.

I felt when we eventually signed him, that we were only a stepping stone for him to the EPL.
It would be a shame as he has been the best keeper we've had in decades, but if we were offered £6M, we'd have to take it. There are plenty of other keepers out there, finding a good one will be hard, but Strachan and his scouts have done it already.
Would be tempted to take Foster from Man U, he's been brilliant for the last two seasons whilst on loan at Watford.

I don;t think people give arthur Boruc enough credit if he never saved that pen against Saha we wouldn't in Europe at all just now

    some news:

Gazeta Wyborcza (major daily paper in poland) claims there is talks about Boruc to Arsenal.
They claim Celtic will get money plus Arsenal's 18 yr old striker Anthony Stokes (on loan to Falkirk at the moment).
WGS is said to be looking for Boruc's replacement at the goal, which is why Celtic is testing Jay Nolly (US) and Radim Mokrohajsky (Czech).

Anyone got more details? The polish paper says that "Glasgow Evening Times" had more on this.
