Also if Sammy was consistent he would NOT be at Celtic, you have to endure his moments of madness when you scream at the telly shouting "WHY, WHY" for the moments where you see him run 60+ yards and win a penalty. He's frustrating and not a prolific scorer but by * is he good when he's good.

 

Samaras wasn't amazing at all today. Wasn't terrible and he did well to get the flick on for our goal. But thought he was far too sloppy in possession and his work rate today was poorer than usual.

 

He's good when he's good aye,and that aint good enough.

 

so why has he been given such a contract? If he hadn't then you would be fair in thinking I am talking pishe. But why has he been signed up for so long?

Sammy at times looks lazy, seems out of position, but he will produce under the right circumstances. At the moment he is best placed on his own. He is reluctant to pass unless he see's his comrade in a good position that he can get the ball through to cleanly.

Hooper & Stokes are good together (at times) because they are of a similar wavelength. One day they will mature to the level that Sammy is on.

When they do, they will be leathal. But they are not there yet. Thats the problem we have with Sammy, he is ahead of our two main strikers intellectually.

He pulls defenders to him, releasing space for the other forward but we don't have anyone who is capable of capitslising on that as yet. At the moment he is best played on his own,

Do you really think Lennon (& Stachen) would want him in the team if he was so *? What could be their motive?

 

Are you sure you're not Samaras? you look a lot like him anyway mate I agree with you, Samaras is by far the most talented footballer in this league in terms of natural talent but he is very inconsistent. I'm a big Sammy fan and I see the positive he brings to the team rather than the negative.

 

I agree he is very smart at atrracking defender out of there postion and opening up spaces for others etc, but for me his negative outweigh the positives for me. The reason he has been signed on a longer deal is just good management by our board, unlike the huns we will get some value back on players when and if they reach the point that people are taking notice and willing to buy, best examples are boyd and suntan kid. And if he stays we will see the odd bit of quality like 02/01/11.

 

The biggest positive I saw from today - that was them at their absolute best & we were well below par (for whatever reason), yet after 90 minutes it was 1-1. We can & will do better.
