beliefs are something people get extremely touchy about, its enevitable someone will get offended

and its not fun either, its continuous and gets boring imo, no-one is gonna change their opinion on it, and no-one will win the debate as no-one really has a clue whether their is a * or not

To be honest you're getting more touchy about the prospect of debating belief than the people debating belief are about their belief.

I really want to post my thing about Christianity that I got into trouble for before.I think it proves a pretty good point, but some people are extremely touchy when it comes to discussing this.
It is ridiculing it I suppose, but isn't that what arguments are about?
Think I could post it and a mod can decide what's what?

I don't find it fair that we have religous schools in this country, or any for that matter. Basically forcing a child into religion, denying them a choice. Many people are taught from a young age that there is a *, therefore can not really have their own opinion.

But * gave us free-will to make our own decisions, not for everybody to be identical and act exactly the same, and to constantly be perfect. I think there's a difference between being made in his image, and being exact clones of him. I do not know why he put us here, so I can't really go any deeper than this without going into pure guesswork rather than faith.

I agree to a degree, in that I don't think religion should be forced on people, however, in the schools I've been to anyway, it really isn't, despite the fact they are Catholic schools. Now, I know Catholic schools were very different before I was born, but now, yes, there are mandatory religion classes up until GCSE point, however, it is made abundantly clear that you are in no way being forced to believe in this, and out of the 25 odd people in the class last year, I'd say about 15-20 people in the class did not believe in *.

That's the point. almost everyone believes in something. if you don't, then you are truely free to do all immoral, sick and criminal stuff.

See, you seem to believe in human empathy. that's not nothing.

Furthermore you believe in what you think is right. You said you didn't believe in anything, I see you believe in human empathy, and what your head tellls you what is right and wrong.

Hope my post makes any sense. just came home and need some sleep

    * and religion are two very different things. you don't have to be a follower of any religion to be in peace with *.

I think you are confusing "something" meaning "some higher being" with the literal term of "something."

Obviously in the literal sense we have to believe in something. Thought requires us to believe in things... we only act because we believe certain things will happen as a result. However, when he says "something" it's assumed that he means a higher power.
