Oh do you now? Well good for you son. Perhaps you ought to start actually READING what people post.

The OP has stated on here several times that he has not started up this thread to make Ki a scapegoat...

But if you, like others, are still determined to go ahead and press your assumption even though you are blind to the fella's words....go ahead...I doubt he gives a *.

This is not a pop specifically at you, however if someone tried to use those 'stats' to prove anything, you'd be laughed out of town by anyone with even a rudimentary understanding of how statistics should be interpreted.

Have a read of THIS if you fancy learning more.

wow its almost like you completely ignored my post. football is a) a team sport and b) impossible to take anything from that flimsy fact without actually looking at the games in question.

Cut out the condescending attitude please - it's pretty frustrating and there's no need for it. What are you, mid 20s? Going around calling people 'son' is a bit silly.

As for being blind to DV's words - I'm not. I'm responding to what he has posted. Like I said before, I'm not prepared to take someone's post at face value.

For example, if I reply to your post with something along the lines of '*', I'm not literally rolling on the floor, laughing * * off. Given the context of the debate and our previous conversations about Ki, you could reasonably deduce that I was being disingenuous and/or mocking you.

You see where I am going with this?

Part of the reason I have to doubt DV's real intentions is that he has previous jumping to conclusions about Ki. He was roundly mocked for that thread (and to his credit he apologised and reversed his opinions) but now, after one bad performance in a game littered with them, he is back to his original position of thinking Ki is not good enough, and insinuating that his inclusion in the starting 11 is the reason lost.

And? It's his opinion of which he is personally entitled to, yet is relentlessly attacked by some in this thread. He has expressed his opinions and they should be respected. End of.

Anyway...I'm bored with this thread now. I don't like Ki...big lazy oaf.

    Good day.:bbpd:

cant be arsed reading through the whole thread, but from looking at this page it seems that there is divided opinion on this guy. for me, he is maybe the best passer in the team, but guys like kayal and ledley arent too far behind him, but both offer more defensively and are more physical. i dont really think ki is suited to the scottish game, where players like him are also expected to get stuck in and out muscle the opposition on top of being a decent passer.

shouldnt be in our first team imo.

One thing we need to remember is that in those games where we have dropped points with Ki in the side... alot of the time we were missing Kayal and Hooper aswell as having Loovens and McGinn in the team. We have gelled now and I am sure whenever Ki plays ( not that I would have him in my starting X1 ) he will do a job for us. I still believe that he cant play in a 4-4-2 formation.

Well to basically deduce whether or not this is a Ki bashing thread one must so simply look at the title of the thread, "Ki is a liability" now if thats not a bashing then i don't know what is!
Ki has been made a scapegoat here again so simply by implying Ki was solely responsible for draws and goals conceded, have you not read mmmikey's posts which he has had to reiterate at least 3 times. Those two facts alone lead to this being a scapegoat thread and the only way padmill has been able to attempt to defend it, is by using condescending language and as of now has given up.

Before Ki went to the Asia Cup he was by far our best player, a fact brought up by Neil Lennon himself! At times when Kayal was out it was a case of pass the ball to Ki and let him try and do something with it. In many games he was the only player getting pass marks so to he say he is a liability is shocking. He is the best passer of the ball at celtic park and although he looks suspect at defending sometimes he has vastly improved that side of his game this season.

The boy is only 22 and will only get better! Slating the guy because of a few stats is quite petty to be honest.

ive been on about this for ages to some of my friends. i personally think Ki is a great player. its more we arent great when he plays next to Ledley. the problem on Sunday was more the lack of Kayal than the inclusion of Ki. the only critisisim is he doesnt release the ball quickly enough sometimes. i feel we are at our best when we play high tempo fast atacking. teams cant handle it. as others have suggested id only use him in a midfield 5, or a very physical 4 ie- ledley,ki,kayal, brown.

Bottom line is the chemistry in the middle between him and Ledley has proven to be unsuccessful. They can't play together and that is that. I think Ki could one day be a brilliant player, however I don't think he's anything but a good player right now.

My thoughts exactly. I like Dave, I believe Dave will be very good player one. Just now though? No, he hasnt gelled in the centre of the park, is a little slow paced and I am concerned that he can be a weak link. He will be in the middle with Kayal tonight, I think, and will get the extra protection that Kayal gives, but he needs to up his game.

Not bashing him, just dont feel that he is doing enough to start each game.

I have to hand it to Ki, he bounced back brilliantly tonight. Thought he was excellent tonight. Completely ran the show. What a difference it makes when Ki is paired with Kayal.

Its good to have that kind of strength in depth, he put his foot in when required and basically pulled the strings behind kayal good performance in a game which was fast and furious. More performances like this from celtic and we are well on our way.
