ah, i forgot ledley was suspended, i dont think its sad, we will get to see kayal and ki together, ledley has been the worse overall when ki and him have played together, so why cant ki be better with kayal than ledley?

If the manager has instructed Ki to sit deep (as is often the case when Ki has played) then of course there will have been more players who have covered more ground than him. I was just pointing out that a poster's assumption that Ki can't cover much ground is simply untrue.

Watch him sprint up the park for this goal. Certainly doesn't look slow or lumbering here.

Suppose it's a case of waiting and seeing, I just hope he doesn't cost us on Wednesday.

Agree, he'll need to up his work off the ball though.

he wont imo, as long as kayal and brown are in beside him to battle away, he will need to work hard, but im sure lenny will drum that into him

looking forward to seeing if our 2 most talented CM's can strike up a good partnership, would be great if they could, this is your chance ki, dont let us down!

Aye but I just think we're a better team with Kayal and Ledley in the middle. I'm not saying Ki is a bad player. Ki will get a probably get a game on wednesday with Ledley being out but when everyone is available I would think he'll be back on the bench.

Today there were just too many players not up to speed. But unfortunately I think that the speed Ki played at today was his speed. He wants loads of time on the ball and, for me, falls over far too easy under a challenge. He always slows the game down.

There was a point in the game today when Mulgrew had the ball. Ki was about 5 yards away. Mulgrew passed the ball to Ki. There was no one near Ki and he passed it straight back. I dont want my midfielders doing that when there is no one near him. he should be taking the ball from the defenders and starting a move. When him and Ledley play together in midfield they both sit far too deep and it makes attacking a nitemare as there is only 2 strikers to hit.

Hopefully Lennon has realised that Ki and Ledley cant play together in the middle. I have thought that for a while and it was confirmed by todays poor show. I am in no way trying to put the performance today down to Ki. Only talking bout him cause the thread is about him

Ki just doesnt work hard enough for me off the ball for me. Thats all. He has great technique but hes not to fussed when the ball isn't near him.

The comparison between Ledley and Ki. Ki is technically better but Ledley just offers so much more in terms of work rate, box to box, good temperment, and can be played Left Mid or Left Back and play maker aswell (just not as good as Ki.

Had a feeling Ki would get criticised. Always seems to the more technically gifted players that cop it.

I like him. I rate him and I'm backing him to prove doubters wrong. I don't think he should have doubters though.

Another thing I feel I should mention - Ki just turned 22 last month. He's far from at the peak of his ability, and I think sometimes people forget that.

disagree with this, imo, I see Ki is a young talented player, hes more of an attacking midfielder, his vision and technique is fantastic! passing, set pieces and accuracy aswell.

hes 1 of 4 players that competed in the world cup and had a good campaign taking his country to the knock-out stages. and played all games for his country in the Asian cup getting to 3rd place.

we have yet to see the best of him but i am very confident in this player to be a great with us and i hope he has a bright future with Celtic

He was horribly today and so were brown and ledley but he was out best player the first half of the season and when he came back from the asian cup he was great too, he has been flying back and forth from Korea for international matches and has been on the bench the last few weeks, a few bad games and their is a whole thread on why he is a bad player, brown has 3 bad years but we are all supposed to keep the faith. The boy is an attacking midfielder plain and simple he is not a defensive player.
