No, I call it as I see it.

I don't expect everyone to agree with it, only to accept the point I am making.

    FFS it's a forum !

Sammybobo ive seen this from you before many times, i already know your opinion on this myth that is lightweight and i simply do not agree, its utter bollocks to imply Ki is a shitebag or is too lightweight for the Scottish game etc...

Its not his fecking job to be the breaker, hes the * creator, wait until kayal plays next to him and allows him to actually do his real job.

Expecting Ki to do Kayals job is like saying to an Accountant here why don't you be an engineer for a day, well he will be * at it because its not what he does. Ki isn't there to tackle hes there to create chances and pass the ball holding the team together, orchestrating the midfield. Its for this reason i find this thread so infuriating when people expect Ki to do kayals job when hes a completely different type of player in the first place.

Ive never been overly keen on him, never really seen what he brings to the team.

But people seem to be using him as a scapegoat for losing today, which he wasnt. Tbh i think even with Kayal we would have lost today, they just wanted it more and they are more used to playing on that beach of a pitch then we were.

Its nice to know zander that you got a rational debate, it seems for the rest of us all Padmill can be bothered doing when replying is simply pressing smilie buttons, do not expect a rational debate from a man who can't even be bothered to answer his critics.

    joke?

cause ki is the best passer in the team, some of the folk that dont like him would surely admit that, the only reason ledley keeps possesion well is cause he passes sideways all the time, ki always keeps the ball when he does that, the times when ki is more likely to lose it is when he tries a more ambitious pass, something that ladley rarely does

Playmakers do not require strength or a vicious mentality to work well. A playmaker of Celtic can be skinny, have Osteogenesis Imperfecta and avoid hitting anyone in any circumstances, as long as he has the vision, passing ability, calm mind, and ball control.

Another fantastic post that I agree 100%, was just about to say, this "Ki is too lightweight" statement is ridiculous. I think it just comes from the logic of "he doesn't foul a lot or header a lot, must be too lightweight". Unless a player either scores or fouls a lot in a game we don't win or game against the huns, people aren't pleased with their performance. Ki does a lot of build-up work that goes underappreciated a lot of the time. In terms of passing ability, I'd say he's the best in our whole squad. We have a player with a * of a lot of ability here, and some of us don't seem to appreciate it for some reason. Like I said, next season in European games is where I can see him winning over all the doubters.

Should we just buy 11 Lee McCulloch type players then?

Reminds me of a point I meant to make about Hooper... I bet he'd be * in goals. Taxi for Hooper, then?

    Its all about balance imo.

Ki and ledley dont work as neither are battling midfielders, ledley works hard of the ball but doesnt actually make many solid challenges, he will make the simple pass everytime and in order to keep us flowing, ki neither makes many tackles or works hard off the ball but he is technically better than ledley and has better vision for a defence splitting pass.
Both are too lightweight to play together that is obvious, thats why when either of them play alongside kayal/brown who do a good job hassling players, winning tackles, generally protecting the 2 cbs, they usually perform much better because the midfield is more balanced.

I think ki could benefit alot from playing in the middle with kayal just as ledley has lately, he needs to start working garder off the ball though even if hes alongside kayal/brown.

    Agreed.

I have no gripe against Ledley, but I don't understand why people would say Ki is useless and yet rate Ledley. They are very simlar in playstyle, except that Ki has a better range of passing and a good shot on him.
