Yes you compared Ki and Given's qualities. Some find Ki a liability...can you tell me of ANY comment anywhere that has ever questioned Given's attributes?

You obviously don't trust his judgement when it comes to Ki's ability though. He could have easily played Brown in beside Ledley today and brought in another winger but Lennon believes in Ki's ability. Rightly so as well, he was one of our best players before he had to head off and would probably be first-choice beside Kayal if Ledley hadn't played so well in Ki's absence.

Lennon has heaped praise on Ki in the majority of matches he has played in, today he was poor and it seems a lot of people have used this opportunity to drop the blame at his door because he was brought into the first-team for Kayal today. They are completely different types of players and the Ki and Ledley partnership just doesn't work for that very reason.

that because we have played our most atractive football since kayal has been back, have a solid player RM and stokes and hooper st's, ki has barely been a part of that, ki would not effect the attractiveness of our football, he is good enough at passing to even enhance it

i didn't see any comparison between ki and given. what he said was saying ki is a liability is as daft as saying given is a rubbish keeper.

Ki shouldn't be singled out for criticism it was a sore one today but to say that all our poor results this season are because of him is simply wrong and unfair.

Ki has got a big future at this club and we need to show some faith in our players and get behind them rather than creating negativity.

I really despair on this forum sometimes everyone is entitled to their opinion but one defeat and people are looking for a scapegoat.

I'm not talking about blind faith but a little more patience and support for our players wouldn't go a miss.:shamrock:

Yes, well if you are too blind to realise your comment was personal, then might as well go * for tat.

Dmytro Chygrynsky or Igor Tudor...both very good passers, especially long balls. But they have no further offensive inclinations, just like Kayal. If we had Kayal as the playmaker, I'd be unsure of that working as good as it'd work with Ki.

My whole point, I have yet to hear anyone ever question Given's attributes, but have heard Ki's come into question a few times, but he-ho.

Yes, and every time Brown starts, we win.

Ermm... apart from today, of course.

But still, the statistics speak for themselves.

Indeed, there's only one fly in the ointment - just the small matter that Ki is twice the player Scott Brown is, or will ever be.

But maybe we're keeping quiet about that bit...

As a non-scottish or non-irish supporter ( I'm Catalan ) I tend to have some ideas that most of you might not share. I think that Ki is a proper footballer with a nice touch, he can spread quality passes that many footballers in Scotland could only imagine. Statistics can lie as well, there was another statistic that told "when Scott Brown is playing we win almost all our matches", but, what does really Brown adds to us in a footballing point of view? He has improved his passing (not a difficult task at all ), but his shooting and his intelligence on the pitch remain in doubt, I really can't understand when Lennon comes out on the press and says that Brown has played an immense game, Samaras was unplayable, blahblahblah ...
I watch all Celtic games and we have improved our passing, but we are far away from being the Barcelonaesque team that some people are talking about, if you rewatch the last match against Rangers you will see that we had large spells of posession, but there was much more fight, ball kickings out on the park and other * things that make Scottish football so ancient in some terms.

We should stop with the negative threads after a bad game, we'll win next week and all will be rosey again. Remember that after the 0-2 at Ibrox we drew vs Hamilton Accies, we are used to underachieving after a great OF display.

Keep the faith! We are better than them and I hope that we'll kick their arses on Wednesday

PD: I'm sorry if I've made any typos or any mistake, my English is improving slowly :84:
