He's an amazing prospect, and at the end of the day I'd sign him sheerly for the marketing prospects alone.

 

Wowza! Can you imagine what'd be like to have him at Parkhead? We thought watching Lubo was great! People are gonna talk about this kid in 50 years and if we have any opprtunity to bring him to the club we should spend the money. It might only be a highlight real but class is class...he looks like * Pele.

i would love for celtic to sign adu yes man utd rejected him but that could work to are gain as we have a fantastic youth program just look at maloney , mcgeady ect so i think theres noting wrong in giving him a trail with the chance off him signing

 

the rejection thing doesnt bother me, i mean * Advocaat rejected paul Lambert who went onto win the EC, Jon Dahl Tomasson was a NEwcastle reject went to AC Milan, Thommo was an Aston Villa reject, one of our best players in the past few years.

I mean Neil Lennon got released at one point in his career.

the ManU rejection helps us... Less money we would have to pay him and maybe some other clubs became disinterested in him as a result.

 

DC United don't own his contract. MLS owns all players contracts in that league not the clubs. So any deal would have to be done with MLS.

from that vid he doesnt look that special, other than that wee spin thing he does with the ball in training. No vision, doesnt look creative, touch doesnt look any better than mcgeadys for example, players hes against seemingly dont know how to tackle. Video didnt blow me away basically.

but id still take him to open the US supporter market, wouldnt pay over the odds.

 

I don't necessarilly believe that they rejected him. According to some respected journalists over here it wasn't a trial. DC let him go there to train during the offseason. MLS players do it all the time. There were two from New England at Chelsea last year. It was just blown up because of his name. Obviously if he impressed they would be interested but he can't move to Europe until next season because he's under 18 and doesn't have an EU passport.

 

im sure freddy adu's contract expires at the end of our eason or the end of the next mls season one of the two positive he got a four year contract when he was fourteen and i am pretty sure he has nno resigned one

He was traded to them. He didnt sign with them. His team DC United sent him there.

 

He went to them to play the position that he likes most as he wasnt playin their for DC. He only went there tho cos he cant go to Europe until he is 18 under MLS rules so he will do in the near future

He requested a trade so he'd be able to play his natural position. This doesn't change anything in regard to his desire to come to Europe ASAP.
