Very poor Celtic,need to get to grips with the pitch and need to fight for this as unsurprisingly McCall has them up for this....We could'nt play any worse than this 1st half showing..

 

while i would agree with the point in no excuses

the truth is the pitch is a great leveller for motherwell their sunday league team against our star players and motherwell get to play and train on it all the time.

how many premier league pitches are like motherwells shocking pitch, the answer is none, maybe the EPL have penalties for having a ploughed pitch.

truth is we're going to have to match up 5 against 5 in midfield to get a result here

* pish that motherwell get away with this season after season

 

Its Scotland not Portugal or Spain where they go away crying after a strong wind brushes them.

 

lenny needs to rip into them at half time, they obviously expected a easy game they got better the last 20 minutes but its still not acceptable, Mulgrew, Ki, Brown, Ledley, Big dan, stokes are all playing like *, commons and wilson arent doing much better, only hooper and izzy get passing marks imo

The only good thing is the end we're attacking the second half looks slightly less * and more goal friendly.

 

We need Samaras on for the long ball. Passing it about is getting us nowhere as the midfield cant carry the ball forward on this pitch.

If he struck it more with more power it probably would've been 1-1.

 

Terrble pitch, and the sun being in our STs eyes wont help really! You seen how the motherwell Defenders are swiping at balls that arent even there, hope it helps the strikers in the second half being in the shade and doesnt have too much of an effect on the defenders!! keep the faith.

 

Streams keep cutting out for me what is Lenny likely to be doing at h/t...encouraging/booting baws/3 subs?

* poor. Bring Samaras on for Stokes. Trying to pass on this pitch is pointless, would be better playing on a * minefield. Teams came out with the wrong attitude today thinking this was going to be * easy. If we lose today then that OF victory means nothing.

 

What the * was Charlie trying to do? If in doubt put it in the * stands.

 

We've been shaken by the goal. The absence of Biram The Fearless hurts us a lot. Lenny's options: McCourt for a magical comeback. Samaras-for having a chance of getting onto long balls. Juarez-for some more energy and grit in midfield.

 

He is a greedy player though.

 

Commons hasn't been great today, neither has stokes,

I would bring on sammy, and personally think Juarez would be suited to a game like this.

The time we need a game changer McCourt is no where in sight.

Hooper and Ledley been quiet. Ki's been poor. Stokes greedy, but almost scored. Forster is as much to blame as mulgrew, just doesnt dominate the box like he should

 

we need to take ki off for forrest and bring brown into the middle. with ki lying to deep and ledley covering for commons whos moving into the pocket we're allowing their midfield onto us. commons needs to push wide. and sammy needs to come on if we're gonnae kepp lobbing high balls. better end to the half though.

 

Poor first half. I expect we will have a much improved second half performance.
