even tho he was * last night, i dont think they do, he used to be extremely dodgy in his youth but the last 2 or 3 years he has been solid, everyone has an off night

He was the best keeper in Spain last year by a mile. Last night he was dodgy again though.

Last couple of years he has matured a lot.

I'd honestly rather have Sczcezney at Celtic than Valdez.

if folk watched valdes week in week out like i do i think they would know hes a good keeper, if you do watch him week in week out and still think he shiye then fair enough but i disagree

    This.

Valdes is a bombscare, Barca's weak link. As soon as you think he can string few good games he comes out with * like last night. They could do with a reliable goalie, it would improve their team even more if that's even possible.

not just last year the year before 2, if i remember rightly the spanish fans were calling for valdes to start at the WC because he was playing so well and casilas was very dodgy at times last year

Pepe Reina would have been my preferred choice over Valdes- if I was a Spain fan-or Spanish, only after Casillas though, who I still think is the number one

I Know, crazy how people can make snap judgements by seeing one game.
Watch them week in week out, which is a pleasure, then you can say who is crap.

pepe reina was another the fans wanted over casillas, i think alot of folk overrate casillas, he's a great keeper but he makes alot more mistakes than other top keepers such as buffon and julio cesar, and i dont just say this cause he plays for madrid

He does make mistakes. But I feel he was the best choice. But, he is older than them other two so......

yeah i know, if we were looking in on boruc at a different club than celtic you'd have thought he was a * keeper, cause he made alot of blunders, but we all know he was good, cause we watch him all the time, similar situation to valdes, who makes less mistakes than boruc did too

im not trying to compare the 2 just making an observation

I've always thought Reina the better keeper than Casillas, although Casillas can pull off saves Reina could only dream of.

Reina is a very safe keeper, Casillas is spectacular.

De Gea's going to top the all though :50:

doubt it, there is only months between them all, casillas is 29, so is valdes but slightly younger and reina is 28, next spain no.1 will be David De Gea imo

true, Casillas can win you matches, but makes the odd mistake that can potentially cost his team. Reina has made a couple, but is relatively assured.

i think reina pulls off some pretty stunning saves tbh, casillas weak point is high balls from setpeices or crosses

for some reason i thought casillas was a couple of years their elder.

ah well, he should stay number one

tbh, i dont even care about spain, or spanish football
