So proud to be a Celtic supporter today, what a performance, even with 10 men we were giving them a football lesson all over the park. Undoubtedly Scott Brown was immense and the Ref in fairness had a good game, he sorted out that little * Naismith with his blatant dive.
We deserve to win it, but what the * it's another backlog for the huns and we will take them to the cleaners in the replay at CP.
Don't let the media kid you that McCoist is in charge of their cup games after sir dignity's histrionics on the sideline today.
Scott Brown absolutely unstoppable today and gave the sewer rat some good old fashioned GIRUY.

Superb performance, Broony MOM, one of if not his best in the colours. Biggest credit has to go to Lenny. He proved to today he has it to change when needed. He could have sat back and hoped to get an equaliser when we went to 10 men, but no he went for it and we should have won it. During the game he was constantly making changes to out smart Smith. Absolutely fantastic performance from every player. Some are getting on the back of Maj and Mulgrew, I thought they did well, especially when both full backs were pushing up and leaving them a little exposed. When you take chances like that sometimes you will have little frights. I also hope Commons learns from his mistake that lead to Their penalty.

If only we could be this patient in every game, we need to keep a hold of the ball like that against the other teams in the league. Return of football the celtic way under Neil Lennon!

Just in and am half cut ! Should be gon out tonight but im working at 5 !!!
Just have to say it was some performance from 10 men. Would have settled for a draw after Forster was sent off but we could easily have came away with the win.

    JUST CANT GET ENOUGH !

Just in from the pub watching the game. If you told me Brown would score from 20 yards before I would have called you mad.
Great heart from the team. Wilson,Charlie and Izzy great. Could have won if McGregor didn't save that header.

    Scott Browns celebrtion was brilliant

That was the best we've played against Rangers in a long time IMO.

Too play the good majority of the game with 10 men and still be the team on the acendency with all the possession was very good.

We looked techniquially miles ahead of them.

Rangers' lack of proper investment the last few years has caught up with them IMO.

Selling players like Miller and Boyd who have scored around 100 goals in the last few years between them is always gonna have an effect.

Jelavic is a good player but is injury prone and isnt a clincial goalscorer.

Lafferty has 2 league goals this season. 3.5million? your having a laugh.

Our midfield area is as strong as i can remember.

Scott Brown, Berem Kayal, Joe Ledley, Ki, Kris Commons and James Forrest have all proved they can do a brilliant job in the midfield.

Its up too Lenny too pick the right men for the right occasion.

I would have had Sammy in from the start either up on his own or with Hooper. He has the beating of the Rangers defense all day.

Happy with the result. We'll doo them at Celtic Park.

Good result, shame about Commons, have a lot of sympathy for him but a great performance and we can take it back to Parkhead and they will be without Naismith

Lennon took a gamble today and with it totally dominated a poor and shabby Rangers team. But for a great strike from Ness and a an unfortunate pen we probably would have went on to win comfortably today.

Wee word for the ref, got all the big decisions right. Pen was right, sending off was right (but harsh) and the sending off of that cheating Naismith was especially sweet.

fail to see how Lennons management in terms of starting team had any real influence on the game today-given how we had a man sent off. It's sheer teamwork and spirit that means they deserve credit for fighting back with 10 men. We dominated as we were the most positive.

Really feared the worst when we went down to 10 men and at beginning of the second half couldn't see where anything was going to come from. But Lenny got his tactics spot on and feel that the introduction of big Sammy changed the game. But what a performance from every one of the players and the management, so unlucky not to win it (due to a spawny save and a heavy dodgy linesman). And its not easy to go there, dominate and just simply play them off the park, especially with 10 men.
As someone said before on this thread, the one thing that most fans probably felt after the game was.....proud! Time to give Lennon (and Sammy) his long term contract.

Another thing that makes it sweeter is that Bougherra made another wink after making another challenge which could have been a straight red.

    GIRFU them:icon_mrgreen:
